Celtic look like prioritising signing a left-back before the Transfer Window closes at midnight tonight.
Luis Palma and Nat Phillips have both been signed this week with a couple of reports suggesting that they are well down the path to adding Paolo Bernardo to their midfield options.
At the start of the week there were reports that five players would be signed this week, recently most informed reports have suggested that a left-back is a priority position.
As things stand, Celtic are not close to securing a LB. They will remain active to see who may be available – that doesn’t mean they will panic-buy tomorrow, though. But, it’s #DeadlineDay and things can change very quickly.

The Daily Record has named Ryan Bertrand as an option at left-back but that would seem to be of more benefit to the player than club.
A 34-year-old that hasn’t played a match since December 2021 isn’t going to hit the ground running with Rodgers well aware of Bertrand’s fitness issues at Leicester where he was released from in May.
What effect the speculation will have on Greg Taylor is open to debate but it seems that the door is almost closed on Alexandro Bernabei as Rodgers seeks another left-back to be ahead of the Argentinian for a first team place.
Going into the Champions League with either Taylor or Bernabei at LB is shocking and terrifying at the same time
