Alex Ferguson has been wheeled out to add to the Survival Lie in a shameless interview on ‘Rangers TV’.

If the former Manchester United boss wishes to express sympathy he could try contacting some of the 276 creditors left high and dry by the failure to agree a CVA.

Businesses across Glasgow were left high and dry after providing credit facilities to a club that had stopped paying Income Tax and National Insurance in September 2011.

Police Scotland, St Andrews Ambulance, Glasgow City Council and others never got paid forcing firms to tighten their belts and increase costs to other that pay their bills.

In contrast to the actions at Ibrox supporters of Hearts and Dunfermline dug deep to raise funds to get CVA’s through to avoid liquidation.

Both clubs suffered relegation on the pitch but continued in business with Hearts fans paying into their Foundation to eventually repay Ann Budge who refused to allow her club to disappear with Third Lanark, Airdrie, Gretna and Rangers.

Despite their alleged worldwide support there wasn’t a single bear prepared to do what Budge did to save their club.

Ferguson’s last game for Rangers was collecting a Scottish Cup losers medal from the 1969 Scottish Cup Final as Celtic completed their second treble.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

I’m surprised he did it for them as he regularly praised The Celtic support while manager of Aberdeen…

But I guess they see him as getting older and not having such a sharp response as he once would’ve had to what would of course be heavily loaded pre planned questions –

That lot don’t give a continental Fcuk about anyone old, young or anywhere else in between – if it’s to their mi-nute advantage they will shamelessly exploit any people or even ‘peepil’ of any age !

  • Bob (original) says:

Yes, was initially surprised at Ferguson’s quotes, but I’d give him the

benefit of the doubt as he’s an old man now, and just not as sharp.

And I did read his first autobiography years ago, where he was not that

complimentary about the original Ibrox club, and his treatment there.

  • John Copeland says:

My understanding of Ferguson’s words was that it’s okay to cheat if you are a club the size of the Rangers ,as their fans spend lots of money which is vital for the survival of Scottish football . Now ,if anyone out there believes a single syllable of that chicken sludge then you have not been paying attention as it has been proven that is incorrect ….. utter bollox !

  • the maister says:

I was at that game, 1969. Did he play in it? That is music to my ears. Never liked him at all.
Sir, doesn’t do it for me but for him it does.

You can create a lie, repeat a lie and get all sorts of folk to repeat that lie, like the BBC, ITV and other SMSM but it is and will always remain a lie.
Rangers FC DIED in 2012 and there’s simply NO ARGUMENT. The LIQUIDATION word.
Rangers FC INCORPORATED (became a company) on 27th May 1899 called The Rangers Football Club PLC with Company Number SC004276. This continued until 31st July 2012 when 2 things happened strategically planned and timed to perpetuate the myth of Rangers continuation as a “club”. The incorporated club/company, The Rangers Football Club PLC changed its name to RFC 2012 PLC and Sevco Scotland Limited (Company Number SC425159) changed ITS name to The Rangers Football Club Limited.
THAT’S WHAT REALLY HAPPENED and it begs the question: “who played Brechin on 29th July 2012” because it WAS NOT either form of Rangers above. It could ONLY be Sevco Scotland Limited, a recently formed company (SC425159) that had NO FOOTBALLING HISTORY and NO RIGHT to play in that game.
Rangers FC has GONE and a great big, convoluted lie has replaced it. FACT.
Footnote: Joe, it would be really helpful if you could ‘wheel this out’ every time the continuation myth has a mention on your site. Only by repeating the truth can we discredit this huge lie. Thanks.
