David Martindale doesn’t expect to succeed Micky Beale as manager at Ibrox.
The Livingston boss has never hidden his love for anything blue and white with goals from Scotty Arfield always a source of joy.
For the third autumn running the Ibrox Tribute Act are looking for a new manager but it seems that the longest serving manager in the Premiership is resigned to disappointment.
Last Wednesday Martindale was warmly congratulating Beale on his 4-0 victory over Livingston, less than a week later he faced the heartbreak of discussing the next Ibrox leader, knowing that he will again be overlooked.

I think we can safely say it won’t be me. It won’t be, let me tell you.
He added:
Derek and Malky are two top, top managers. I think anyone of those two could do a job at a club the size of Rangers or Celtic. I don’t get carried away with these foreign names that are so-called better coaches … there’s an abundance of managers within Scottish football and English football that could do a job.
Sometimes we get it in our heads we have to look elsewhere for some fantastic skillset that someone has marketed well from foreign shores. I just name checked two there. Derek is one of the best in the league and Malky is a top, top manager.
With Alex Rae and Billy Davies in contention it might be too early for Martindale to rule himself out of his dream job.
Can you put subtitles on next time you show a clip of him.

Are the Chuckle Brothers a trio now?
All that was missing there was 10p for a cup of tea.
As if BIGOT&BIGOT the two tossers make that dossers would get anywhere near the Celtic managers job.
