Cinch have pulled out of their five year SPFL sponsorship deal in yet another example of Neil Doncaster’s complete lack of ability.

In the summer of 2021 the CEO of the SPFL announced a five year contract worth around £2m a year while Cinch were paying £10m a year to be the sleeve sponsor at Tottenham Hotspur.

Cinch instantly had their logo on the shirt of all 42 SPFL clubs alongside pitch-side, backing board and a variety of other platforms with media outlets referring to the cinch SPFL.

Four times a season cinch would get blanket coverage at the Glasgow Derby live on Sky Sports but such is Doncaster’s incompetence that the club from Ibrox refused to take part and avoided any sanctions.

The SPFL were forced to apologise to their newest member club, after a season the sponsorship was renegotiated with 11 Premiership clubs handing over even more coverage to cinch while James Bisgrove brought in more money at Ibrox by selling the sleeve sponsorship as well as pitch-side advertising.

The dispute has given cinch incredible coverage, now with their brand stamped all over Scotland they have pulled out of the partnership leaving Doncaster to negotiate a new sponsorship with his tail between his legs.

STV report the SPFL CEO saying:

Cinch has been an excellent sponsor for the SPFL and has been clear on the significant boost to its brand awareness from our partnership,” the league’s chief executive Neil Doncaster said.

We will, of course, ensure that cinch continues to enjoy the many benefits of its sponsorship of the cinch SPFL for the rest of what promises to be a hugely exciting league campaign.

The passion, drama and excitement of the SPFL has played a leading role in driving cinch’s considerable brand growth in Scotland and across the rest of the UK.

Working closely with Scottish Football Marketing, we will now begin the process of securing a new title sponsor for next season and beyond, and anticipate strong interest from businesses which recognise the unique value of partnering with Scotland’s premier football competition.

The SPFL board have renewed Doncaster’s contract which now includes two years salary in the event of him leaving the company.

Getting a replacement will be difficult with the spineless Doncaster doing whatever Sevco want.

“Doncaster’s contract which now includes two years salary in the event of him leaving the company.” They love looking after each other

Sven Ericsson had a £14 million parachute package if he was to be sacked from the England job.

A couple of years ago I suggested to my broadband server I was thinking of going to “SKy” as a gambit to which the reply came, “Ok, then”. leaving me to backtrack.

I think they should say to these guys “You are getting zilch if we sack you and if you don’t like it we will find someone who does.”
To a man they would agree.

It is hardy surprising. Who would want to be trading when the original contract conditions are peed all over by the local menace? And your business partner bows down and kisses their rotten dirty proddy arses? What an embarrassment!
I don’t think cinch will come back to Scottish football for a long, long while!
The only winners in this are the twisted, self-ingratiating, bigoted filth that are sevco!
They don’t and never have given a toss for Scottish football. And all they care about is themselves. If ever there was proof of that, then here it is!
Be better if they, themselves walked away and were never heard of again. Everyone would be the winners then!

Don’t fret ! Doncaster’s £800.000 pounds pay off deal is safe safe …. nice wee number he negotiated for himself ! Plus bonuses of course ?

CONNED AND CHISELED,at least Jessie James more a mask when he stole things.
Doncaster and sevco you couldn’t separate them with a George Michael paper.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Well we all know (SFA & SPFL apart) – Give Sevco a cinch and they will take a million miles…

Big Dougie Five Cars did a work placement at the Ipox to see if there was anything there to profit from.
But when he saw there wasn’t, he walked away.
Their fans are living on Thin sevco gruel and it ain’t going to get much better anytime soon!
