Micky Beale famously brought in nine new signings to Ibrox as he kicked off the much anticipated Revolution!
In January he had spoken out against bringing players in on loan as it wasn’t in the best interests of the club.
Typical of Beale the one loan signing that he did make has outperformed all of the outfield duds that were signed up on long term deals after impressing in eye-to-eye discussions to ensure that they were of sound character.
The best part of £15m was spent on Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers and Danilo but the combined scoring record of those three hasn’t matched that of on loan winger Abdallah Sima.
In a cruel twist there is no option to buy the man who has never played a game for Brighton as The Sun reveals:
RANGERS don’t have an option to buy top scorer Abdallah Sima.
The 22-year-old Senegal international moved to Ibrox from Brighton in the summer on a season-long loan deal.
But it’s understood a purchase clause wasn’t included in the agreement with the Seagulls.
Sima appears to be this season’s Malik Tillman but there is no win-win solution this time with almost all media outlets taken in by the claim that the Ibrox Tribute Act were paid a compensation fee by Bayern Munich and also have a sell on clause with the midfielder.
If I had the wings of a SEAGULL,
And I had the arse of a crow,
I’d fly over Liebrox tomorrow,
And shit on the bar stewards below !
