The Union Bears made their feelings very clear with a banner protest 10 minutes into their match away to St Mirren.

Defeats to Aberdeen and ARIS Limassol delivered a dash of reality to the Ibrox fan-base but with an in-built superiority complex there has to be scapegoats.

Two trophy wins in a decade is an accurate reflection of the Ibrox club in the Scottish game but being constantly told that there are following a global institution with a winning mentality is difficult for many bears to come to terms with.

Ironically James Tavernier scored twice in today’s 3-0 win to avoid further humiliation but including the word LEADERSHIP in the protest was a clear reference to the former Wigan Athletic ace.

Steve Davis and Alex Rae steered the squad through today’s match without any further mishap but their cause was greatly helped by Ryan Strain’s decision to handle a cross that resulted in a penalty and red card being dished out.

The Ibrox board now has 13 days before their next match but with Frank Lampard, Graham Potter and Kevin Muscat making themselves scarce Davis and Rae could be in charge until the next defeat.

  • HC Andersen says:

On a different subject, Spurs fans now singing
“we’re on the top of the league,
    looking down on Man City,
and the only explanation we can find,
is the form we have found
    since Ange has been around,
Ange had put us at the top of the league”

Suppose 0-3 buys the Blue Room some time?

But, which decent manager would go to Ibrox at this stage in the season:

they’re up against it from Day 1, stuck with underperforming / poor players,

fans with unrealistic expectations – and a Blue Room which is winging it?

    A potential left-field suggestion;

keeping Rae Davis in charge is atill high risk, [and cheap],

so what about adding a highly experienced ex-manager to the mix on an

interim basis – to provide ad hoc / part-time support?

Maybes not a Souness or McCoist, but someone who commands respect

amongst the foaming bears – and who can manage the media with ease?

IF St.Mirren had avoided that red card, then sevco would have been in trouble today.

The buddies looks pretty good – even with only 10 men on the pitch.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

“and who can manage the media with ease” ?

It doesn’t matter if it was Pep Guardiola or The manager who has just been sacked from lowly Clachnacuddin (Jordan McDonald) – The Lousy Football Media in Scotland will give ANY Sevco manager the easiest of times unless Bennett and Bisgrove give the nod to sicken them into resigning…

No Sevco manager will ever need to manage The Scottish Football Media with ease for sure –

‘Twas always thus and always will be thus !

  • Mr Smith says:

Had a look at Ryan Strain on Wikipedia after I read on a forum the hand ball was so blatant that it made it look deliberate.

Thankfully Ryan was born in Coventry and is an Australian international.

    So nothing to see here.

His dad, coincidentally played for Larkhall Thistle.

I support the same team as my dad, do you?
