Dundee have launched an investigation into the sectarian singing and offensive banners on display at last night’s match against the club founded by Charles Green in 2012.

The investigation should be straightforward with CCTV coverage of the away stand and the visiting club knowing the identity of every fan in the ground thanks to their Season Tickets and MyGers details.

There was all the usual songs hating Kaflitz and glorying in their deaths, a recent addition to the Matchday Experience has been fans displaying Nazi flags at Ibrox without being challenged by the Police or Stewards.

Both teams had to go off the park after a Pyro display from away supporters, typically there has been no condemnation from the Ibrox club of their fans,

At lunchtime Dundee announced:

Dundee Football Club are investigating and working with the relevant authorities after a series of unacceptable actions in the stands at last night’s match at The Scot Foam Stadium at Dens Park against Rangers.

Despite robust practice by all clubs in the SPFL and the SFA at Hampden, flares, offensive banners and singing of sectarian songs continue to be a problem all across our game in Scottish Football.

As we are working with the authorities we are unable to comment on the situation at this time. The club will comment further once the ongoing investigation has taken place and concluded.

Expecting minimum wage Stewards to stop and search masked Ultras is completely unrealistic with The Bob Shankly Stand housing 3,000 fans.

Celtic are away to Dundee on December 26 with a very heavy security presence expected.

These are the people that Desmond and Lawwell are desperate to get into bed with.
And they’ve got a cheek to criticise the Green brigade.

Where is the condemnation from the media about a pyro display forcing teams off the pitch due to fire safety ?

  • John S says:

Sectarianism and Nazi emblems are ‘beyond the pale’ and shouldn’t be overlooked just because we’re used to seeing such. Scottish society needs to get its act together. Condoned or condemned ?

  • Scouse bhoy says:

Heres a question for police scotland why was the stand not emptied when the fire alarm went off. Im sure our moral guardians in the media along with those in holyrood will want to find out. Can you imagine the publicity if that had been celtic fans

Feck all will happen…or maybe a token slap on the wrist.
This mob has Scottish Football by the short and curlies.
    We get what we deserve.
