Luis Palma played for 90 minutes as Honduras suffered Nations League heartbreak in a 2-0 defeat to Mexico followed by a 4-2 loss on penalties.
The winger was an injury doubt after the two sides faced each other on Friday night but was in from the start at the Azteca Stadium.
Mexico scored shortly before half-time then in the 11th minute of stoppage time at the end of the second period with Palma substituted three minutes earlier.

Rather than an injury the Celtic medical team will be checking for tiredness in their international winger who has played in two demanding matches over four days followed by a transatlantic flight during Wednesday which should see him return to Glasgow in the evening.
With Daizen Maeda joining Liel Abada on the injury list Palma has become Celtic’s first choice winger but is suspended for next week’s Champions League tie away to Lazio.
Closer to home Mikey Johnston turned in a Man of the Match display as Ireland drew 1-1 with New Zealand which could put him in line for his second Celtic appearance of the season when the hoops host Motherwell on Saturday.
