After six domestic matches Philippe Clement has watched his side being awarded five penalties. Strangely in two European ties James Tavernier hasn’t been required.
Last week in the League Cup semi-final against Hearts Nick Walsh obliged with a nod from Willie Collum on VAR duty.
Today away to Livingston with the match goal-less a penalty was awarded for a ridiculous dive from Ross McCausland, brought up in the traditions at Murray Park.
Steven McLean obliged by pointing to the penalty spot with Steven Kirkland backing him up from the VAR studio. Tavpen stepped up and shot wide of the post.

In his second match in charge John Beaton and Alan Muir were on penalty duty against Hearts with Tavernier missing the first and scoring the second.
If this is a penalty, then there is something wrong with our game. pic.twitter.com/DZgpBM3jpz

I think that’s called blatant cheating. Beaton and Co. will make sure that the tramps will stay in contention by hook or by crook.
The league this season is going to the wire, the Celtic board better wake up to that fact.
Lol the penalties won’t always come to their rescue and Hercule Poirot will soon be out the door just like Ian Beale.
There’s not much Celtic can do about The Sevco matches…
But we are far far to silent on the assaults our players come under in this rancid football country on a weekly basis for my liking –
Change that cowardly silence please Celtic !
That Clement must be thinking
This is mental over here , I’m getting penalties nearly every game , sometimes two , never seen anything like it !
No wonder he was saying earlier he was a big fan of VAR
You bet your f*cking boots he is
Lawwell has enabled the cheating in the past with his lies, why would he change now?
