Double standards? Watch what St Johnstone have put up with at Ibrox as Clement squeals over Lundstram

Phillipe Clement has led the mourning after ‘another of his players was kicked off the park’ against St Johnstone on Wednesday night.

Big John Lundstram was the victim after Diallang Jaiyesimi won the ball at Ibrox and followed through to send the scary Scouser squealing into the night air.

Clement hasn’t been in Scottish football very long but is quickly developing a sense of entitlement as he watches James Tavernier tearing up the scoring charts while he inherits an incredible run of 72 SPFL matches without a penalty being awarded against his team.

Jaiyesimi’s challenge was reckless but not as brutal as some of the attacks that St Johnstone have been the victims of on previous visits to Ibrox.

In January with Beale mania bubbling up Adam Montgomery was the victim of a sickening attack from Ryan Jack.

Jaiyesimi at least took the ball before connecting with Lundstram, Jack never bothered with that formality as he aimed at Montgomery’s ankle with the ball an after thought on his intentions to leave one on him.

Willie Collum opted for a red card on that occasion. In the 15th minute Tavpen opened the scoring with Nicky Clark sent off before half time, a familiar theme when Saints lose 2-0 at Ibrox.

During Lockdown Kemar Roofe was guilty of an even more blatant attack on an opponent, albeit not as bad as the head high assault he’d carried out on the Sparta Prague goalkeeper later in the season.

Roofe’s assault came in the first half of a 1-0 win refereed by David Munro, with the points secure the SFA upgraded the yellow to a red card. That season St Johnstone won both cup competitions.

Clement like every other Sevco manager learns soon enough that the Scottish media will prostrate themselves in due reverence to his ever widening font of knowledge and opinion. They can’t lose until they do lose. I give you every other manager since liquidation.

The thing is Joe…quality bloggers like yourself, can highlight these travesties of justice, from now until the cows come home…But the brutal truth is…until our Club ( no chance) or any other Club OFFICIALLY requests a forensic examination of these incidents…then nothing will change.
Why do Clubs let this happen…time after time ?
This wee bigoted country, is as bent as a two bob watch.

Editor: After the Bank of Scotland unlimited overdraft followed by tax scams involving disguised remuneration we now have ‘honest mistakes’ at full pelt to try and create a competitive O** F***.

Nicholson and Lawwell love it, they crack jokes to shareholders about it.

Neutral refs and the Clement Revolution wouldn’t have got off the ground, interest in next Saturday’s O** F*** love-in would be to see if Celtic can go double digits clear and effectively end the title race.

You won’t get a peep out of Celtic about their only rival being immune to SPFL penalties, all we can do is highlight it from outside the tent.

    Speaking of double standards,

“defensive discipline”. If you didn’t laugh you’ld cry.
