Stephen Welsh comes in to start his first match in more than a year as Celtic conclude their Champions League campaign at home to Feyenoord tonight.

The defender replaces Nat Phillips in central defence for tonight’s match with his only outing this season coming in August when he replaced Cameron Carter-Vickers at half time in the 3-1 win away to Aberdeen.

Although the former Spurs defender is training this week his hamstring won’t be risked tonight with Welsh partnering Liam Scales in central defence.

Kyogo Furuhashi replaces Oh Hyeon-gyu in attack in the only other change to the side that lost to Kilmarnock on Sunday.

Celtic haven’t won any type of match in Europe for two years with Welsh scoring the opener in a 3-2 win over Real Betis with Ewan Henderson scoring a late winner.

CELTIC: Hart; A Johnston, Welsh, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Iwata; M Johnston, Kyogo, Palma

SUBS: Bain, Morrison, Lagerbielke, Phillips, Turnbull, Holm, Oh, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston, Frame

Would be nice to get a morale boosting win in the CL,

but a score draw might be our best hope…?

    I’d take it! 🙂

Good win!!! Was worried when Welsh was taken off as he was solid and did not merit it .. but equaliser was definitely coming… Glad we dug one out and hopefully will spur wee Gus who scored on

Yeeeeesssssss. At long last a victory in the CL, I’d forgotten how good that feels.
Is that a monkey off our backs or just a hiatus in this long unwanted run?
Really good game tonight, and Feyenoord are a really decent passing side, who can feel more than a bit unlucky not to get at least a draw, but we deserved a bit of luck ourselves after a miserable campaign.
Onwards and upwards Celtic and well done on putting a smile on our faces again.
