Chris Sutton has hit out at the double handball from Connor Goldson that Don Robertson ignored to ensure a home win at Ibrox last night.
In the 72nd minute Todd Cantwell took advantage of a parry from Kelle Roos to put the 2012 Tribute Act into a 2-1 lead but in the 88th minute substitute Dujon Sterling was given a red card for a brutal full on lunge at Jack MacKenzie that could easily have broke the defender’s leg or ankle.
From the free kick into the penalty box Jack Butland blocked a shot, in the aftermath Goldson twice used his arm in the six yard box but after the red card there was no prospect of Robertson following that up by awarding a penalty.

Sutton said:
You’ve got the first one here that lands on Goldson’s arm, which is out. But this one I think that is going in. He is falling in front of the ball and making himself bigger. Does that hit him below the shirt line? Let’s have a look here. I think it does.
Despite more than a year of VAR experience no Scottish referees are expected to be involved at the European Championships in Germany.
In the last 20 years only Willie Collum with two matches at Euro16 and an early exit is the only Scottish match official to be allowed near a major championship. No Scottish referees have been involved in Champions League matches this season.
If I was the Aberdeen owner/chairman I’d be releasing a statement and demanding they release the audio.

That’s the irrefutable, independent evidence that the standard
of Scottish match officiating has fallen to unacceptable levels:
members of The Scottish Referees’ Association are no longer wanted
at the WC or Euros Finals – or even CL games now.
So, what is The SFA doing about it?
SFA! 🙁
They would rather assist Sevco than be at major tournaments, priorities.
At Gareth Southgate will be watching goldslaw for England call up as he make more saves than Buckland does,,had that been in the dons box no doubt in my mind they woulda vard the hell outa both them incidents and the usual outcome would been a tavpen,
Boyd is an absolute embarrassment.
Utterly incapable of objective opinion and argues like a fan in the pub on nationwide live tv.
Imagine actually using “whataboutery” when being paid to offer objective unbiased opinion.
Absolute clown.
Conor “Scottie Pippin” Goldson strukes again!
I hate this country sometimes….
And on and on the cheating goes…
But us Celtic fans and fans of every other competitor of Sevco seem to merrily accept it season after season after season !
I thought it was agreed Goldson is allowed to handle the ball. Try and keep up.
