Anyone doubting how invested the Celtic players are in this season’s title race had their concerns answered during the second half of today’s win away to Motherwell.
A year ago Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston were celebrating a League Cup Final win at Hampden as the first leg of the domestic treble was banked.
There were no trophies handed out this afternoon but no one should underestimate the value of the stoppage time goal from Adam Idah- Celtic’s North American defenders certainly appreciated it.

Keeping the door locked at the back Carter-Vickers looked on as Johnston raced onto a pass from Yang Hyun-jun, fired in a low cross with Idah instinctively finding space to fire low beyond Liam Kelly to kick off a mix of celebrations and relief. As he ran back the Canadian and American fell to the ground in a mix of relief and joy.
Apart from two victories in the Glasgow Derbies this season’s Celtic side have had little to celebrate- perhaps the last gasp wins away to Hibs and Motherwell can fire them up for far greater successes towards the end of the season.

Could be pivotal – But no use if Dundee equalise in injury time on Wednesday !
