Oh Hyeon-gyu and Yang-hjun-jun have been pictured training at Lennoxtown today ahead of Sunday’s Scottish Cup tie at St Mirren.

On Tuesday South Korea were beaten by Jordan in the semi-final of the Asian Cup which released the players to return to their clubs.

Since both players flew out on international duty their places at Celtic have come under threat with winger Nicolas Kuhn providing extra competition to Yan with Adam Idah now competing with Oh and Kyogo Furuhashi for the striking role.

The return of two internationalists will be welcomed by Brendan Rodgers but it is in defence that he is running low on options.

Greg Taylor and Cameron Carter-Vickers both missed the midweek win over Hibs, during the match Alistair Johnston and Stephen Welsh both picked up injuries.

Brendan Rodgers is expected to host a media conference at lunchtime which will include an injuries and availability update.

Sunday’s Scottish Cup tie will be played to a finish with extra-time and penalties if necessary.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Oh is not very good – However I suppose it’s still another body to throw in if anyone else gets injured…

And the way things are going this season of course they bloody well well !

    The Buddies beat Hibs convincingly

0-3 at Easter Road last weekend.

We barely scrape by 1-2 on Wednesday.

We have a tough cup game in Paisley.

As we are playing so poorly,

it might be a blessing in disguise

    to get punted?

We can focus on the priority of

    winning the SPL.

    sevco could get stretched with

    additional SC and EL ties?

Yes gives Rodgers another peace for his jigsaw but the players he sent out against hibs aren’t a weak team and should have git the job done khun a winger not once he hit bye line or passed to overlapping player looks surprised by atmosphere rabbit caught in headlights idah missed when you expect to score sportscene focused on hibs misses but Celtic were bigger two penalties right decision newal should have got red Miller to for lunging tackle on McGregor not mentioned or spoke about we played good football hibs will no how hard it is when other teams sit back and hit on break yes we force it even one up relax pass it about hibs are the team that will eventually have to attack in numbers our midfield losing to many tackles Rodgers should show them the commitment that Ralston showed ut was his tackle that set up the move kyoko got hacked down not like miller’s tackle he was in control cup next so can risk playing two through middle kyoko trickery will set up who ever he plays a long side and McGregors getting marked out the first half bernado played well against a dangerous apponent uts when venturing forward can’t afford to lose ball cause ut gets punted up to speed he leaves missing Ccv speed in defence so no need when your leading teams will come out hibs came forward cause our players gave the ball away forcing them forward they always kept five or six in there own half we brought pressure on our all out attack no need 3 point’s even win by 1 goal or6
