No excuses- more evidence of John Beaton’s ‘honest mistakes’

Having managed to conjure up a draw from near impossible conditions at half-time there is a clear message from the media to praise John Beaton’s performance at Ibrox on Sunday.

Apparently he was brave and got the big decisions right as Celtic’s first half dominance was wiped out to leave the SPFL title race in the balance with six rounds of fixtures to go plus one postponed match scheduled for Wednesday night.

After dishing out three yellow cards to Celtic players during the first half Beaton cranked things up after the break, almost to the same levels as his notorious display in the fixture in December 2018.

Having allowed Fabio Silva way with various acts of simulation during the first half his u-turn over a booking brought the home side into the match in the 52nd minute with a penalty.

With the anthems of hate cranked up inside Ibrox Tom Lawrence went straight through Tomoki Iwata to set up another attack for the home side which finished with Cyriel Dessers putting the ball in the net.

It is typical of the standards in refereeing and in the media that Beaton is being praised for the brave decision to disallow the Dessers ‘goal’.

The foul on Iwata was typical of the decision making all afternoon, running up a 23-10 score against Celtic in terms of free kicks.

Various incidents like the one above occurred during the match, since that one ended with the ball in the net a VAR review was carried out with a free kick correctly awarded to Celtic.

Beaton and his fellow Scottish referees are expected to be excluded from the pool of officials used by UEFA at the European Championships in Germany this summer.

This season UEFA has put Beaton in charge of one Europa League group match (Qarabag v Molde) and two Conference League group stage games (Zorya v Macabi Tel Aviv and Astana v Dinamo Zagreb).

Lol can’t wait to hear Kojak’s aka Gallacher’s take on the refs decisions from yesterday on ref watch on Sky Sports,we just know that Cheaon Beaton got all the decisions correct.

Oh and if you do want to watch the corrupt football games that go on up here in Scotland get yourself a Firestick that way you ain’t giving a penny to Sky.

As for Scotland and the SFA let’s hope we get a right GOOD HAMMERING in these Championships coming up, let’s see a sevco performance from the Champions league, ZERO POINTS, WITH THE MOST GOALS SCORED AGAINST A TEAM IN ANY FINALS, for total embarrassment for the SFA.

Let’s hope it’s enough of an embarrassment for the team to never qualify for another tournament again while those corrupt people pulling the strings are there.

We were told the reason a penalty was awarded to “the rangers” against Aberdeen was the foul on “the rangers” player was before the foul on the Aberdeen player…..so the CELTIC player plays the football (first) then “the rangers” player runs in to the CELTIC player and dives before the CELTIC player has time to air brush his leg away… and one of the grade 1 referees in both games was WALSH …. how many times have you seen a referee make the shape of a ball with his hands to justify NOT giving a free kick that’s ten times worse than the non penalty at Ibrox… Maybe the referees apply the rules differently depending on who’s playing NAH that would infer cheating and that can’t happen ….Why would WALSH cheat for his employer and why would BEATON cheat for the team he supports….. NEVER

Get that second video sent into the club and demand they ask answers from the sfa.

Editor: Celtic have all the evidence, the SFA holds the paperwork from July 2012 when the jerseys were sold.

  • bertie basset says:

the only ones fooled by the faker fabio yesterday was beaton and walsh , even miller commentating agreed it was a dive , when walsh took the heat of beaton allowing him to feign innocence after he pulled the yellow for the faker he duly did his sevco duty and awarded the penalty , if there is anyone in doubt that this was not staged or planned by these shameless sevco stooges they are so innocent that they should not be left out on their own , there are no angry sevco fans this morning and are happy with their men cheating the football public and celtic in particular , they are nearly there though , they just need one more honest mistake as they will ensure the sevco cheats win all their remaining games , they will “LET ” celtic have the cup to even up the score and the optics

  • John Copeland says:

Did anyone else notice the nice wee tap on the side – ‘an attaboy ‘- from Tavpen to Beaton when he thought that the referee had allowed the Rangers disallowed goal to stand after consulting VAR ? Almost like a ‘ job done pal ‘ which as we all know was a foul on the Celtic player in the lead up ? Also as he’s about to signal the disallowed goal ,Beaton growls to a the Rangers player to ‘ shut up ‘ almost in disappointment to the amended non goal !

  • Bob (original) says:

We’ve all known for far too long that Scottish football governance is corrupt.

2012 was the darket era of Scottish football – and the ramifications of the

widespread corruption then, are still being felt today – over a decade later.

To nobody’s surprise, yesterday’s game simply provided further evidence

    of [allegedly] corrupt match officiating.

But, the most galling realisation, imo, is that our Board [i.e. our club] is arguably

also corrupt – or, at the very least complicit…?

    🙁

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

I am just utterly DELIGHTED that I put not one penny towards that farce after yesterday’s open and in plain sight cheating !

  • James McHugh says:

Celtic should not pay for var would you pay for somebody to kick you in the balls every week don’t think so
