Kevin Clancy comes in from the cold to take charge of Celtic’s home match against Hearts on Saturday.

Last season the Glasgow based official refereed the April Glasgow Derby that Celtic won 3-2 to go 12 points ahead and put a firm hand on the title.

The last time Clancy was in charge of a Celtic match was in December when Hearts won 2-0 in a sombre atmosphere without the noise and colour of the Green Brigade.

That match was the only home defeat that Celtic have suffered at home in the SPFL this season- and was followed up by a defeat to at Tynecastle last month.

Celtic have only dropped two points since that set-back, drawing 3-3 at Ibrox and go into Saturday’s match with a three point lead and a plus five goal difference advantage over Philippe Clement’s side.

Nick Walsh will be on VAR duty for the match, the following day David Dickinson will be the referee when Kilmarnock visit Ibrox, Dickinson was also in charge when the teams met at Rugby Park in February.

Clancy referee not had him at Celtic park for a while riss on var I rated him top ref in spl but var no wasted gave a penalty against us at ibrox when stuck rigidly to ruled even though player had dived and book for it bad call so I’m not pleased he’s in var seat common sense has to prevail don’t be a robot after fame at Tyne castle and ibrox Celtic fans are quite right to be concerned that a man sitting in an office looking for the slightest touch as that was it at ibrox never enough to to fell a player or at Tyne castle never enough to harm the player the antic after each incident was theatrical yes I’m worried and quite rightly Celtic always gets those calls against them never for yes wevdint need them for or against

Has this post by Jack been moderated? No sentences, paragraphs and poor spelling. I just cannot understand what his post was about. Just very bad English.

  • Jamie D says:

Still no mention of Collum for any. ‘rangers’ game? Seems a little more than odd that he hasn’t been involved in some capacity since their frivolous complaint. Maybe time for us to call out Beaton.

  • Jim M says:

Has anyone seen Willie collum lately, just wondering if he’s tied up and gagged in Crawford Allen’s office.

Right let’s get sone distance put between ourselves and the paraffin lamps from ibrox.
