Sky Sports would like to tell you that they delivered all of the drama of the O** F*** Hatefest to their viewers.

Ian Crocker was squealing like a soprano in the moments before the big kick-off as he released the same old script that he has been reheating for the best part of 20 years with that inconvenient gap between 2012 and 2016 completely ignored.

Much like the singing of The Billy Boys as the players lined up in the tunnel without any apology to viewers ‘who may be offended’. That apology goes out if the f-word from an individual fan is picked up and broadcast.

With Kenny Miller and Chris Sutton joining Crocks in the commentary box the broadcaster gave the match the full Super Sunday treatment with cameras apparently covering every angle. Except when a bottle was thrown at Matt O’Riley after scoring. Sky missed it while an almost home made camera from Celtic TV on the wrong side of the goal picked up the Buckfast bottle.

That wasn’t the only incident missed by Sky Sports, or to be more accurate that they chose not to show.

Every kick, foul and attempted foul during the Manchester United v Liverpool was given the full slow-motion treatment by Sky Sports but when Tom Lawrence decided to drill his boot into Cameron Carter-Vickers lower right leg Sky Sports were as disinterested as John Beaton.

It has certainly been a busy week for Lint, almost every two minutes Beaton was providing fresh evidence for the pattern of assistance, the source material seems almost endless.

Sky Sports did decide to review a fairly meaningless passage of play before the incident but cut away well short of the moment that Lawrence tried to end Carter-Vickers involvement in the match.

On Tuesday Celtic informed The Sun and Daily Record of their complaints about issues during the match, so far there has been no sign of a reply.

Yesterday Aberdeen used the club website to provide their fans with a very detailed breakdown of their meeting and discussion with the SFA on the breakdown of VAR which contributed to a ‘goal’ at Livingston on Saturday being disallowed.
