The Rangers Review has been discussing whether their club should accept offers of £20m or over this summer for Jack Butland!

With Alfredo Morelos no longer at the club the former Crystal Palace reserve has filled the void for Ibrox cheerleaders to talk up their mythical player trading model.

Reality will forever be a strangers to the cheerleaders with big Jonny McFarlane leading the thoughtful analysis of Butland who was signed as a free agent last summer.

McFarlane is the driving force behind Newsquest Digital Sport, taking up the role after a spell as Office Junior for Daily Record Sport where he came up with the classic piece about how Barrie McKay is superior to Kieran Tierney. That yarn came out soon after Keith Jackson’s EXCLUSIVE on RB Leipzig lining up a £6m bid.

According to McFarlane and Hamilton fan Derek Clark EPL clubs will be beating a path to Philippe Clement in the summer to hand over £20m plus on the back of a few decent performances in the SPFL, excluding the Glasgow Derbies.

It seems to have escaped the experts that there are barely any English goalkeepers playing in the EPL with clubs preferring to go to Spain or Brazil for a goalie.

Jordan Pickford has been first choice for Gareth Southgate for six years with barely a sniff of transfer interest in the Everton keeper.

Today’s debate did have the benefit of McFarlane revealing that as a former goalkeeper he understood just how difficult Adam Idah’s low 87th minute shot at Ibrox was to stop.

With quality content and leadership like that what could possibly go wrong for Rangers Review, The Celtic Way and the other titles under the guidance of McFarlane. To be fair big Jonny knew how to fill his goalmouth.

£20 million for Butland ? Correct me if I’m wrong , but didn’t the ” preferred bidder ” get to buy the Govanland stadium ,Auchenhowie and all the ” assets ” for £5.5 million sovs after theRangers mark 1 popped it’s clogs in 2012 ?
