The Daily Record just can’t let go of Jordan Henderson making a dream move to Ibrox.
Things are quiet during the international break but two stories within 24 hours is taking desperation too far with the former England midfielder getting paid £85,000 a week by Ajax.
It is no surprise that the Dutch club are looking to move Henderson on but having previously chased the cash by going to Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia there is only one offer that will shift the 34-year-old out of Amsterdam- a Sunderland homecoming.
That isn’t much use for the team on the Record Sports Desk so they shoe-horn a move to Ibrox in at every opportunity on the basis that Phil Clement forgot to sign a Number 6 in the summer.

With no CEO, Chairman or Director of Football Operations at Ibrox no one will have a clue about what sort of war-chest Phil Clement will have in January.
Once the club publishes their Accounts for the 23/24 season a better estimate on transfer funding can be made. If as expected losses for last season are in the region of £20m it is unlikely that Clement will be splashing the cash to try and stop Celtic from winning the SPFL Premiership title.
Serious efforts are underway to create interest in Connor Barron and Jefte but with Graeme Souness out of management it is unlikely that any offers will be coming in for the over-rated Ibrox duo.
