Celtic’s 2-1 win over Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup hasn’t impacted the thinking of Brendan Rodgers in the transfer market.
For the second match running Celtic were very wasteful in front of goal, instead of going in at half-time with a comfortable lead they found themselves on level terms after conceding another goal after the 40th minute.
Kyogo Furuhashi, Nicolas Kuhn, Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate should have found the net to build around Callum McGreor’s well delivered opener but it wasn’t until the 70th minute that Maeda put Celtic in front.
Unlike Dundee on Tuesday night there was no way back for Kilmarnock with the hoops taking their place in the Fifth Round Draw for the Scottish Cup on Monday night.
So far Celtic have yet to add anyone to their squad but with less than a fortnight to go in the transfer window it seems that Rodgers has very definite ideas of what his side requires.

We reacted in the second half, kept fighting, kept working. The objective was to get through and we did that.
We know exactly what we want to do [in the window]. Up to this point the players have been very good but we know what we need and what we want.
With those comments from the manager it is now in the hands of Michael Nicholson and Paul Tisdale, Head of Football Operations to deliver the additions required.
The final stages of the transfer window will take place around two Champions League ties that will have a big bearing on how Celtic’s season shapes up.
A home tie against the bottom team in the 36 team table should be an ideal opportunity to pick up three points but there has been concerns about recent performances in front of goal and at the back.
The team that started tonight against Kilmarnock looks like the strongest available XI, a 2-1win over YB Bern would put Celtic into the Round of 16 Play Off but if it repeats tonight’s pattern it will be a nerve shredder.
Knowing what we want players wise regarding positions, is a totally different matter to actually identifying them?

Rodgers knows someone going to take a beating against dundee the ball was in the air to much but again if they took there chanmnced good chances we would have been well in front and dundee would have no excuse second half let there frustration get to them Celtic supporters are on Taylors case and I can see why he runs into space in midfield to pass the ball back he’s a midfielder not a left back he can’t take his man on outside he losses 50/50 ud play scales if valle not available he undermines everything in left side with his passing
