For years Ibrox fans have consoled themselves that they are some sort of Thursday night European super power.
The mythical presence of Ibrox had opponents shaking in their shoes while stars like James Tavernier, Ryan Kent, Scott Arfield, Connor Barron and Nicky Raskin became world class when they heard the theme tune for the Europa League.
It was a decent comfort blanket as Celtic racked up the trophies, making them Scotland’s most successful club then winning title 55.
A freak show away to Fenerbahce had them crowing again about the Thursday night specialists who then failed to score in three subsequent matches before crashing out away to Bilbao without a whimper but clutching a conspiracy.
Meanwhile Ange Postecoglou- the Aussie novice that they mocked in the summer of 2021 with an obsession for signing Japanese players steered Spurs to the trophy that the bears assumed was their personal property.
Spurs who drew 1-1 at Ibrox in December beat Manchester United who beat Athletic Bilbao who ended the Ibrox dream last month, apparently it was a stitch up to ensure that Athletic reached the final which was played in their own San Mames Stadium. Another myth or two.
Rangers fans all around the world are absolutely seething at the fact that, treble winning manager, Ange Postecoglou has just won the very trophy they’ve pretended to be close to for years. ?
He’s carried out exactly what he said he would.
They are outraged. ?? pic.twitter.com/t0XyIfmKr0

Last night they watched in despair as big Ange achieved what proved elusive to Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Phil Clement and Barry Ferguson.
A scrappy first half goal from Brennan Johnson gave Spurs the trophy, Postecoglou held it aloft to take them into the Champions League.
Taking a break from Thursday night matches the Ibrox club once took part in the big trophy, in season 22/23 they lost all six matches with a goal difference of minus 20 to go down in history as the worst ever Champions League team.
Next season they’ll probably be back in the comfort zone of Thursday night matches, the big question is whether it is in the Europa League or Conference.
Abshalootly Fletch, I’ll tell you what.

Fuk them..Abshalootly Ragin the Fat Gairdner wiz Cuddlin Ange lol! Al tell yi whit he’s oot the Ludge fur sure, Barred Sin Die BAWAHAHAHSHAHA!!
Me and the mates watch Sevco games when we can…in the hope they get beat…And as far as their European games are concerned…we can honestly say that the level of opposition has been piss poor most of the time…and the quality of the games has been likewise…Even when they beat Dortmund…big Haaland missed both games through injury…Nah… they’re lucky bastards in Europe …and they know it..
Not quite lucky enough thankfully Terence…
But thank fuck for Aaron Ramsey all the same –
That was too bloody close for comfort for sure !
Aye yer right Clach…I watched that shoot out in trepidation…But all’s well. ..that ends well…And seriously…a lot of games they played in…were utter dross…but the lucky bastards scraped through.
You had more balls than me Terence watching that shoot out…
I want out a spin in ma motor playing CD’s in extra time…
I knew that if they won a Sevco sympathetic pub mig set off fireworks…
That I was driving a few miles across a stretch of water and they didn’t was ma greatest relief ever…
Checked the mobi at 10.15pm and got the dream result…
Had they won it would’ve been unbearable and I think I’d have emigrated permenantly to The Emerald Isle !
They do well in Europe cos of their kick n rush style, Euro teams can’t handle neanderthal football like that, we try to play in a continental style but invariably we are attempting that against the elite CL teams which lets be honest we will nvr really truly compete with due to budgets, but if I’m honest, I’d love BR to try the Sevco way to see if it really would ruffle a few feathers instead of us getting steamrollered most of the time
Just off the phone to my brother…This is a conversation he overheard in the barber’s yesterday.. Young Hun…” Who dae ye want tae win the night ?” Old Hun…” Fuckin’ nane o’ them ” Young Hun…” How come ?” Old Hun…”Spurs are managed by that Tim bastart…and Man U only allowed Catholics on their Board of Directors for years and years…So fuck baith o’ them.” All is well in Caledonia.
Aye that the huns for you but tell you what no hun and I mean no! Would ever utter their poison in front of me ever! I would destroyed them with my wit and presence as i have plenty in my life
My brother is in his 80’s Stesano…his days of banter wi’ the scum…are over.
…Hail hail
Scottish hun media who were revelling in his troubles at Spurs now pretending to act pleased for him
Remember – They’re Pathological Liars Harold And Lying in a Pathological manner to you buddy !
I believe personally that Man Utd have fallen from grace because Ferguson is still there with huge influence ..on all matters within the club ! Is the club scared of change ? Is it a case of the ‘ old time successes are just around the corner ‘ attitude ? One old man with so much clout ..still ! A complete overhaul from the boardroom down to the dressing room is required ! Not from next season ..but today , in my opinion ! Surely , other people in Manchester can see what is happening too ?
