8th March 2026; Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow, Scotland; Scottish Cup Football, Rangers versus Celtic;
Two Ibrox fans are in prison today as a result of incidents following their Scottish Cup defeat from Celtic.
After two goal-less hours a shadow Celtic side won the tie 4-2 on penalties.
James Tavernier and Djeidi Gassama missed their penalties while Celtic slotted all four penalties past Super Jack Butland.
Around 50 Celtic fans ended up celebrating in the penalty area in front of the packed Broomloan Road Stand.
Similar scenes occurred at other Scottish Cup ties over that weekend involving fans of Dunfermline and Falkirk.
Some home supporters entered the field of play but were mainly dispersed of as Police and Stewards attempted to guard the away fans, players and staff.
Celtic masseur Allan Baird was attacked on the pitch by a 48-year-old who had come onto the pitch from the Enclosure. He wasn’t masked, wearing assault gloves or sitting with the Union Bears.
Within a matter of minutes home fans from three stands were on the pitch targetting the Broomloan Road Stand.
Despite a flare being fired into that Stand the Celtic supporters remained behind the barrier celebrating their teams dramatic victory.
Typically legacy media spun the incidents into an O** F*** shame game. A narrative that Celtic were happy to go along with.

Additionally The Scottish Sun has reported:

Marc Spence, 48, grabbed first team masseur Allan Baird and pulled him to the ground on March 8 2026.
IBROX ATTACKS AND CONSEQUENCES
Both clubs have been punished equally by the SFA.
They have been hit with fines of £100,000 with the first home Scottish Cup tie this season to be played Behind Closed Doors.
Celtic’s appeal against that decision will be heard on Monday October 26.
It took Celtic five days to comment on the Scottish Cup tie, during Brian Unity Wilson’s usual Monthly Supporters Update.
Strangely, earlier this month there was a statement on the Celtic website following an incident at St Andrew’s, the home of golf.
The events at that match are expected to be questioned at the Celtic AGM which is expected to be held next month.

One of those jailed for assault on the Ibroxland pitch was a 48 year old ‘middle aged ‘adult man ! Not some spotty freckled 15 year old immature uneducated half a moron who doesn’t know better and is highly open to be hugely influenced by other bunker nuts ? Then again …..
