Celtic’s social media team seem to be as out of touch as their boardroom paymasters- or perhaps they have to show face and produce some content.
While Peter Lawwell and Michael Nicholson hide behind spreadsheets the Social Media team are obliged to fill some spaces on their Social Media accounts.
When things are hostile sending out birthday wishes is usually the solution, preferably for a former player that doesn’t encounter any hostility.
Normally a quiz is fairly nondescript, on Friday a five question quiz rebounded as Celtic were hit with the questions that the club refuses to answer.

While the board are adept at sending out information to their loyal band of messengers to pass on there is never anything directly attributable to anyone inside the club.
In September the club publish their Annual Report, in November the AGM is held then in February the Interim Report.
Other than those occasions nothing is heard from inside the club, in May Season Ticket renewals are sent out with a heartfelt plea to the emotions of the Celtic support.
Thursday and Friday were difficult on social media, September has the capacity to become truly toxic, so toxic that even quizzes and Birthday Wishes will be off the menu for the social media team inside Celtic Park.

How do you rate Celtic's transfer business
OUTSTANDING- exactly what the team needed
ON HOLD- They'll come good by September 1
HORRENDOUS- Looking as bad as 2023
Was it true that when Peter lawell left in his sabbatical year that transfers were in general pretty successful ?
Was it true that every other year since he returned the transfers in general have been dog shit ?

Q. Why have the celtic board not brought in any players to stenthen the squad or replace the ones who have left?

Q. Why have the celtic board started the league season and are making such an ar*e of the relationship with fans.
Q. Why is no money spent on Celtic park
Q. Why is the fan experience at celtic park pretty tin pot
Q. Why does the board not communicate with its customers— REOs Gumshield (@K4RATE) August 22, 2025

Spot on
Peters love child at CQN has put up a quick quiz of his own as well. And a thing about Schmeichel packing the board. ??
Blow torch and brass neck spring to mind!

Seriously ‘though…Is anyone really surprised by this …??…It’s the kind of thing that they think is clever and will deflect away criticism…Well as far as I’m concerned…it’s an insult…and it won’t be the last.
As mentioned before, with regards to the Board’s (& DD and the other main shareholders?),
level of ambition and strategic planning with regards to transfers is:
– sell any players ASAP. Take the money first and deal with finding a replacement afterwards.
– buy any players as near to the closure of the transfer window as possible.
Then you know how much you have to spend (only from player sales),
and there is – potentially – more chance of squeezing a cheaper deal as the deadline approaches.
Unfortunately, any ‘quality’ players you wanted may have already signed for other clubs.
Also, there is no guarantee that other clubs will even entertain any late, lowball offers from Celtic.
It all boils down to aiming to deliver a transfers profit each and every window,
…and that sums up the footballing ‘Vision’ of PL/MN ?
🙁
Those new adverts are brutal, sorry mate however I’ll no longer be using this site.
