Paul67 has been sharing his laughter at the state of Chelsea on Celtic Quick News.
The most blinded blogger on the circuit has yet to criticise Celtic’s multiple issues this season but has found time to cast his eye over events in West London.
Apparently Celtic has been brilliantly run since October 2003.
They have a unique business model that is admired across European football.
That template of success, or mediocrity as most fans would call it, was under threat from the dastardly Brendan Rodgers.
Taking Celtic into the Round of 16 Champions League play-off was dangerous territory. Taking Bayern Munich to the 188th minute over two legs even more so.
Anti-establishment fans were given a hint of ambition.
That has been brutally wiped out by Peter Lawwell’s anointed successor as CEO.
CELTIC’S MANAGED DECLINE
Celtic now sit in third place in the SPFL Premiership, one of the worst leagues in Europe. The Scottish co-efficient is dropping rapidly.
Taking time off from the shambles that is Celtic, today’s CQN masterpiece highlights the problems facing Chelsea!
The football world is sniggering at Chelsea right now as they bumble from one bad appointment to another. That was us earlier this year. Celtic were the game’s joke club, for plunging into an appointment which took the record books by storm. It was a mercy when Wilfried was eventually freed from his contract.
By its own statement (on the departure of Rodgers) and actions (sacking Nancy), the club’s last two permanent managerial appointments have been destructive. Based on Dermot Desmond’s words on Rodgers (which were fully merited), I could make the case that our former manager’s behaviour gave grounds for his dismissal months before he departed. Allowing him to remain in situ throughout the summer was another consequential mistake.
Do you think Chelsea will get their next appointment right? What about Celtic? Chelsea are cursed to recruit a prestigious name next, as an earnest coach was unable to carry a dressing room with so many sophisticated challenges. Our job is easier. Just get me a great coach, who works with our football identity and does not have a personality disorder. Fix the damage done to recruitment (perhaps a more difficult job) and let’s build the great Celtic team.
A manager with a Personality Disorder? Which one is it?
We know who was the Chairman that used his experience to guide those appointments.
Thankfully Lawwell bailed out, in title if not presence, as he watched the Nancy appointment create havoc at the club.
Nicholson appointed Nancy. He was so proud of it that he found the courage to speak to Celtic TV twice in a month about the exciting appointment.
The Celtic CEO hasn’t been heard of since December 16. Between defeats three and four for the outstanding candidate to replace Rodgers.
Nicholson remains as CEO of Celtic. He couldn’t even muster a sentence to pay tribute to the departing Tom Allison.
Almost four months on from sacking Nancy there is no word on a replacement.
Paul Tisdale hasn’t been replaced as Head of Football Operations.
Lawwell hasn’t been replaced as Chairman.
Celtic B finished 10th in the 18 team Lowland League, a pitiful level of football.
Celtic have used eight strikers this season. None has scored more than six goals, none has come through from the club Academy.
Yet the most blinded blogger on the circuit is having a laugh at Chelsea!

Ideally, a quality manager will be signed up to start the day after the SC Final.
For various reasons, that’s probably unlikely.
It’s more likely that a new manager won’t be appointed for several weeks after the Final – and the much needed squad rebuild will be significantly delayed?
Therefore – loanees returning to their clubs excepted – the squad might not be radically different at the start of next season?
[I’m assuming MON won’t be offered another season…that can’t happen…could it…?! 🙁 ]
If Martin pulls off winning the league I guarantee you that the lazy unimaginative bastards of our board (or in reality DD) will offer it to him in the changing room at full time. They’ve got previous so it would be the least surprising thing in recent history to me.
I reckon Lennon is getting the job again
CQN is badly written board propaganda , who cares what they think.
