After being suspended for five months the Green Brigade will be allowed into Celtic Park on Saturday.
Typical of corporate Celtic they couldn’t own up to making a huge mistake. A vindictive act by a board that has no affinity with supporters.
A board that prefers to provide tickets to the Union Bears than to their own Season Ticket holders.
Celtic suspended the Green Brigade in November, making a claim about an assault which was downgraded to an incident in future Supporter Updates.
A grainy long distance video was put up as evidence by Celtic for the suspension.
Season Ticket holders that hadn’t attended the Falkirk match were suspended.
The already tepid atmosphere inside Celtic Park dropped like a stone. The only area with energy, colour and noise was covered up with tarpaulin.
Coupled with the decisions to undermine Brendan Rodgers and appoint Wilfried Nancy it was another incredible act of self sabotage.
We are delighted that the unjust ban of the Green Brigade has now been lifted, but this vindictive saga has been extremely damaging and unnecessary. https://t.co/GIzTEPPCJa

Last night, with four matches left to play, Celtic lifted the suspension.
CELTIC BANNED THE GREEN BRIGADE- NOT SAG
Typical of a spineless board they claimed that the the Safety Advisory Group of Glasgow City Council had made the decision.
Not the case.
The clue is in the name, SAG is an ADVISORY group. Celtic decide on who is permitted to their stadium, no-one else.
You wouldn’t expect transparency and honesty from a company paying Michael Nicholson £17,000 a week.
With the CEO still to open his gob in 2027 it was left to Brian Wilson to add a comment to the statement/excuse from the club.
The Interim Chairman said:
I am pleased we have reached this point where suspensions can be lifted with the agreement of Glasgow City Council Safety Advisory Group on terms which apply to supporters throughout the stadium.
Further tokenism is expected this month as the club prepares for the launch of their Season Ticket renewal campaign.
Fans have been advised to hold back until the last moment before renewing. Dropping out of the Home Cup Ticket Scheme is also being suggested.
Having taken more than four months to achieve ‘Unity’ Wilson will now turn his full attention to supporting the Red Tories in the election to the Scottish Parliament.

If this doesn’t shout out desperation by Desmond and his cabal then nothing will, the ban being lifted will givecthe manager and squad a big boost no doubt about that , but when thie season is done it should not be forgotten Desmond and his cabal must be punished for all their contempt of the fans . Stop giving them your money
Brilliant to have green brigade back Joe especially when the vermin on our board is planning to roll out the red carpet for the onion brats and their song book… condition’s attacked to their return are a smoke screen and a load of bollox from Nicholson,Wilson and the rest the the tax exile henchmen, so can wait till the brigade is giving it welly against them vermin Hun lowlife tramps
