Celtic players mocked Kris Boyd and his paranoid media chums as they celebrated their SPFL title win.
The former Kilmarnock ace went into full on meltdown on Wednesday night as news reached Tynecastle that Celtic had been awarded a stoppage time penalty at Motherwell.
It was a clear cut award. The main questions were whether it was given for handball or an elbow in the face of Auston Trusty. And why John Beaton missed it completely.

For Boyd the detail was irrelevant. All that mattered was that Celtic were awarded a stoppage time penalty at Motherwell.
Kelechi Iheanacho scored with the most pressurised penalty of the SPFL season. Celtic ‘only’ required to beat Hearts to win the title. Had the match at Motherwell ended 2-2 the hoops would have needed a 3-0 victory in the final match.
BOYD GOES INTO FULL ON MELTDOWN
Boyd had virtually nothing to say about the first half penalty box assault on Daizen Maeda from Callum Ward.
John Robertson, Paul Hartley and Eilidh Barbour nodded along with Boyd.
He was soon joined by Ally McCoist, Ewan Cameron, Michael Stewart, the sports staff of BBC Sport and various C list celebrities that can’t resist a passing bandwagon.
Boo hoo they screamed. They feared the worst at Celtic Park on Saturday.
The threat of a Celtic title win had never gone away.
When Danny Rohl crashed to reality all hope rested on Hearts.
They were a fairy-tale, a breath of fresh air. The plucky underdogs that had brought the attention of the footballing world to Scottish football!
Celtic players knew what was going on all around them.
They knew that the Hearts fairy-tale was a media fantasy. An easy excuse to cover up their loathing of all things Celtic, their despair at the prospect of a 14th Celtic title success in 15 seasons.

After a nervy first half on Saturday Celtic found something special halfway through the second half.
Substitutes Kelechi Iheanacho, Callum Osmand, James Forrest and Marcelo Saracchi provided a fresh dimension.
CELTIC CLINCH TITLE 56
Iheanacho hit the post, Hearts keeper Alex Schwolow saved well from Ben Nygren. The pressure grew.
Finally Saracchi and Osmand broke the resistance, Daizen Maeda turned the ball into the net.
David Roome tried his best but was over-ruled. The goal stood, Boyd’s nightmare was falling into place.
He is so deluded that he thinks that Beaton and Andrew Dallas weren’t doing their job properly.
Boyd couldn’t bear to be at Celtic Park on Saturday, he watched the drama unfold from a darkened room.
He wasn’t forgotten by the Celtic players. As they celebrated their victory they were happy to recreate the classic Sam Nicholson pose. A perfectly natural hand position according to Scotland’s leading pundit.

As Boyd said, “you’ve got to trust the process”
