Keith Jackson understands that Frankie Kent was blood splattered when he reached the away dressing room on Saturday.
The Daily Record doesn’t have any evidence of this.
Carefully Jackson uses the phrase ‘it’s understood’. That means someone has told him. Jackson isn’t openly making the claim.
It comes in the middle of a breakdown of all that went on from the moment that Callum Osmand scored Celtic’s third goal.
A couple of hundred idiots invaded the pitch.
Those selfish fans put a downer on a fantastic day for over 58,000 Celtic fans.
Hopefully they are all identified and banned, they have their Season Ticket offers and renewals cancelled.
Both as a punishment and deterrent.
Any fan that wants to get out of their seat and enter the playing area should know that it will be their last match at Celtic Park.
Absolute gutter journalism. No wonder people wouldn’t wipe there arse wi this rag

As well as detracting from Saturday’s title win the invasion has provided legacy media outlets with a neat deflection tactic.
They can all criticise the Celtic support.
JACKSON TAKES THINGS TOO FAR
On Saturday night Hearts mentioned ‘Reports of serious physical and verbal abuse’ in a club statement.
Fortunately there is no evidence of physical abuse. Those reports and claims came mostly from people that weren’t at the match.
Like Jackson. Chief Sports Reporter of the Daily Record. He seems to be home based on matchdays.
Michael Gannon and Ryan McDonald covered Saturday’s match against Hearts.
In his Monday morning Daily Record column Jackson claims:
Because we cannot just brush away or ignore the fact that there was still a game to be completed and that it had to be called early because some of Celtic’s supporters were incapable of behaving like adults.
As they piled on McInnes demanded that the police help his players get inside to safety and there were particular security concerns over captain Lawrence Shankland who was being targeted repeatedly by the pitch invaders.
Team mate Frankie Kent was one of several Hearts players who attempted to protect his skipper along with a couple of stewards. It’s understood Kent was blood spattered when he eventually made it inside.
No pictures have been produced to back up that claim.
There was plenty of video footage of the fans on the pitch. It seems that every mobile phone in the press area was focussed on the pitch.
No one has been able to come up with evidence of blood splattered Kent. Or of the Hearts defender being attacked.
Celtic’s Sunday statement was typically underwhelming. Like most things from Michael Nicholson.
Hundreds of fans let the club down.
However there is absolutely no evidence to back up the claim carried in the Daily Record. One of Celtic’s trusted media partners.
In June 2020 Jackson was handed the last ever newspaper exclusive interview with then Celtic CEO Peter Lawwell.

Have seen photos of Shankland attempting a punch at a fan, have seen another Hearts player take a mobile off a fan and stamp on it … BUT the only player I can remember that was pictured “blood spattered” after a pitch invasion was … Big Tam Cvanacara after the match at Ibrox, funny how that was swept under the carpet ??
I saw the videoclip of the Hearts player twice stamping on the phone of a Celtic fan which probably won’t be highlighted, as it doesn’t fit the anti Celtic narrative.
On a positive note, I also saw a CBS sport Gazola clip where the commentator was praising the virtues of what is takes to be successful against the odds, that featured post match images of Callum and Sean Maloney. Well said that man. Bravo.
On a separate note, I see that Bayern have won won the Bundesliga for the 13th time out of the last 14 seasons – I wonder if they get the same grief that surrounds us?
Heard a story that allegedly it kicked off in the tunnel at CP
Shankland had Meada by the throat and Frankie Kent threw him through a door
Could this be why Kent ended up bloodied in the dressing room
Who knows ?
But if I were a betting man ,I know who my money would be on for the ones looking for trouble
Shankland was also throwing his weight around on the touchline just before the third goal and was booked for it.
A red card would have been an appropriate outcome.
The Faint Hearts are shitebags and liars.
That is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know. ( John Keats)
Lol,the longer the press continues to keep this in the spotlight or headlines the more we can laugh at their pain.
As big Donald calls it,it’s all FAKE NEWS.
Let’s see what the Hearts fans take on the serial loser McInnes when he ditches them in the coming weeks only to show up at the BIGOT DOME.
Every managerial post he has had ,he has FAILED in.
That Hearts once I a lifetime chance to win the league and they blew it,big time, well their manager blew it.
They ain’t getting that close again to the title that’s it for another 60 odd years.
While I am totally against pitch invasions – with no exceptions – and would ban anyone caught doing it for life plus 10 years (to prevent even their ashes being brought into Celtic Par) the untimely passing of rugby great Scott Hastings yesterday saw archive footage from the 1990 Scotland v England match at Murrayfield being screened on the news. There was a significantly larger pitch invasion than Saturdays at the end of that match and if memory serves correctly the England players were extremely unhappy about it, but were dismissed as crybabies.
So it seems there are acceptable pitch invasions and there are abhorrent ones…. I guess any involving Celtic fans will always be in the abhorrent category though.
