EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND - MAY 04: Rangers head coach Danny Rohl (L) and Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd before a William Hill Premiership match between Heart of Midlothian and Rangers at Tynecastle Park, on May 04, 2026, in Edinburgh, Scotland. (Photo by Craig Williamson/SNS Group via Getty Images)
Pre-match Kris Boyd was all chummy with Danny Rohl.
Sitting in the away dug-out as they enjoyed the early evening sunshine, discussing their title party plans.
In a decade as a pundit Boyd has suffered more than any bear.
He has had the artificial joy of celebrating a behind closed doors title win.
Either side of that freak show life has been an ongoing misery for the former Kilmarnock striker.
Mouthing off at Celtic fans doesn’t mask the pain that he is living through.
Being laughed at by Paul Merson is a pretty desperate situation to be in.
Celtic’s collapse this season has provided a glint of light into Boyd’s miserable life.
The hoops have lost eight times this season in the SPFL. Boyd has been smirking and laughing through most of them, live on Sky Sports.
DANNY ROHL’S FLOPS FAIL BOYD
Going into the post split fixtures Rohl was five wins away from legendary status.
He described the fixtures as cup finals. So far he has lost two out of two.
The high scoring run of wins over Aberdeen, Dundee United and Falkirk built up the hopes of Boyd and the bears.
Reality returned at Tynecastle last night, Boyd didn’t take it very well. Hearts played for 20 minutes to bury the Ibrox challenge.

Boyd said:
There will be mentality questions asked of Rangers.
Hearts have been top for a number of months. You have to expect that you’re going to suffer in the second half, and that’s mentality.
You have to dig in and get a result, but they didn’t. Rangers had to strike and once again they didn’t – they have failed. It’s done. Finito.
Hopefully Boyd is in a similar mood on Sunday when he visits Celtic Park.
In 14 matches against teams in the top six Rohl has only managed six victories. One of them was against Wilfried Nancy. A win rate of 43%.
Two defeats at Tynecastle will be thrown in his face. Two back-to-back matches at home to Celtic will never be forgotten. By fans of both sides.
After getting by for not being Russell Martin the spotlight is on the failings of Rohl this morning. With an angry and deflated Boyd turning on his pre-match pal.

Spare a thought this morning for the referees and officials who kept rohl in a job as they did with clement , mediocre managers at best with these cheating cnuts enabling them , forget not the sleeven and his ilk , english and others keen to brown nose the blue nose’s , these are some who are and have been to blame for the demise of sevco the knuckle draggers can’t see the wood for the trees but they can thank them this morning as i and Celtic fans the world over to take a ” few short ” minutes to have a snigger ……. ahem ….. Chortle
It’s a pure fu**in dream today to know that they’re unlikely to get their filthy hands on that Champions League Cash Bounty…
End it for once and for all on Sunday Celtic !
Or as Ralph Kramden said …done ..through …completed…over …finished ! Now just watch the entire SMSM throw it’s entire ‘sport ‘ scoop system behind Hearts …a wall to wall 100% pro Hearts victory now that theRangers are starting another revolution to make everyone else worry themselves sick ! Watch how the attention from them goes from one negative Celtic tale to another perfectly timed for maximum damage in the days leading up to the final 3 games ? Meanwhile McInnes rides into town on a white steed singing his favourite bigot song with total impunity as nobody will dare go near that with a geranium in case it upsets the Hearts’ routine . The massive about turns from the hacks and authorities has begun !
