Danny Rohl is on borrowed time as manager at Ibrox.
A deluded fan base raised on a superiority complex don’t take well to any kind of defeat.
The No Surrender mentality runs deep in the DNA of the support.
Having stumbled back into the SPFL title race Rohl declared that his side had five cup finals to play. So far he has lost two out of two.
The SPFL trophy won’t be visiting Ibrox for a second time.
Captain Disappointed will slink out the door with three trophies to show for 11 seasons of mediocrity.
A German manager was always going to have his work cut out to be accepted at Ibrox.
In recent weeks there hasn’t been a single Scottish player in his Starting XI. Players that ‘understand’ what the club is about, the expectations of an extreme right wing support.
The winning manager last night was a former Rangers player. The winning goal scored by an Ibrox fan. Both of them know the traditions.
Giving those fans a glimpse of a trophy then falling on your face isn’t appreciated.
DANNY ROHL BOTTLES IT
With three matches left to play every word that Rohl says is going to be criticised.
English isn’t his natural language.
Ibrox fans expect fire and brimstone from their managers.
Not a lanky German mumbling excuses and trying to palm off failure as progress.
Asked about the second half collapse The Sun reports Rohl saying:
We should be really angry that we brought the opponent back and this is what we have to learn very soon, very quick, to make the next step.
I think we worked so hard to come so close in the last two games.
But it’s not enough when you play just one half on your best level.
We showed in the first half maybe one of the best away performances against a strong side.
We dominated the game with the ball and against the ball, we kept the ball well and found the spaces.
Then you go into half-time and half-time was clear from my side.
Rohl added:
They dominate with the Hearts football which was what we expected.
And if you have not enough pressure on the ball, you allow them to come into areas where they should normally not be.
I want to see a team that plays 95 or 100 minutes on the best level.
This is what we are at the moment and this is a little bit of a shame.
At this time of the year, when you come not to the highest level, then there are opponents – this is the reason why it’s a top-six split, they can play on a level.
They can create something and for this YOU have to play on the highest level
Being world class for 45 minutes isn’t going to wash with angry bears.
Not being Russell Martin is no longer a defence for Rohl.
Rohl now faces constant criticism over the fortnight remaining of this season.
Every decision is under scrutiny after £50m was invested in the squad this season.
Winning the SPFL title would have provided a guaranteed place in the Champions League group phase.
If Celtic win on Sunday Rohl’s squad will be back in action in July playing in qualifiers for the UEFA Conference.

Danny – Danny Dole… Danny Danny Dole…
They’ve turned on him on Wallow Wallow and he’s toast if he canny beat the ‘pensioner’ on Sunday…
He’ll be glad to be to fu*k out of it all at Liebrox…
Far Far too nice for that club of cancer !
