Celtic are reported to be preparing a strong financial offer to sign Benjamin Tahirovic from Brondby.
The 23-year-old only joined the Danish side in February 2025 but in the modern game clubs always seem prepared to sell if the right fee is on offer.
Transfermarkt.com put a value of €2.75m on that move, with his form indifferent in the season just ended a slightly higher offer could be enough to tempt Brondby into selling.
At the age of 23 Tahirovic has a profile similar to Nicolas Kuhn with spells at Roma and Ajax without making the breakthrough.
That sort of pedigree tends to impress other clubs as they hope to realise the potential that interested those clubs.
Tahirovic has 26 caps for Bosnia which would suggest quality. A World Cup trip is looming after beating Italy in the World Cup Play Offs.

Midfield is bound to bean area where Celtic are linked with transfer activity through the summer.
It wouldn’t be a shock if Arne Engels, Reo Hatate and Paulo Bernardo are all on the move this summer.
Nottingham Forest had a £25m bid for Engels rejected in January. Clubs in Germany and Italy have since been linked with the young Belgian.
THE CHANGING FACE OF THE CELTIC MIDFIELD
Hatate and Bernardo fell completely out of the picture towards the end of the season. Neither made it to the 20 man squad listed for the Scottish Cup Final.
The issues around those players plus Tahirovic would all become clearer with the appointment of a permanent manager.
Martin O’Neill spoke at Hampden of having a meeting with Dermot Desmond. Five days after the Scottish Cup triumph there has been no follow up on that expected meeting.
O’Neill appears to be the man in possession but that is all just conjecture with no comment from the club on the issue of a manager.
While existing players are likely to extend contracts it is unlikely that any arrivals will be completed till the incoming player speaks directly to the manager.
Clubs and agents can outline plans, wages and contracts. But until a permanent manager is announced players like Tahirovic are unlikely to be moving to Celtic.

Don’t fall for all of this crap ,this is a board of corporate greed and austerity and no matter what they have no intention to change , they want the season ticket money ,and then ban the green brigade , stop giving them your money or you are complicit

I don’t get it. Why TF would we want to “tempt” Brondby with an offer for a player who sounds like his ‘bright future’ may already be behind him? And it’s bargain basement mentality. Sell Engels for £20 or so mill., and take a 2.5 mill punt on this guy. NO NAY NEVER!
I think it looks like we’ll get Robbie Keene with Shaun Maloney assistant and MON as DoF.
I would say that could work with the proviso that the board is hunted and ONE major shareholder hunted too. He doesn’t like negative ‘press’ and this is Celtic. Our worldwide support may be on the verge of something big and, if so, we can move mountains and billio naires alike. It sounds like (I hear) Willie Haughey’s initiative is gaining traction and dialogue should come between the various recent movements (CFC and CSL) along with the old CST et al so as to bring us together in potentially the biggest, strongest supporter led movement this planet’s ever seen. We’re THAT big, just mobilise. I’m a dreamer, well I’ve had that dream for decades now and it’s all possible.
