Neil McCann was humiliated by Celtic at Rugby Park this afternoon.
The star man in Radio Scotland’s World Cup coverage watched his side taken apart with Celtic 4-0 in front after 47 minutes.
Playing an expansive passing game may sound great in a radio studio with Tom English and Kenny Macintyre nodding in agreement.
Up against the Scottish champions is a different story.
Especially when your team is man up on Scottish journeymen and free agents from the National League in England.
Kasper Hogh put Celtic in front within two minutes with a brave header at the back post from a Ben Nygren cross.
KILMARNOCK FANS WALK OUT ON NEIL MCCANN
By the 35th minute the former Bodo Glimt striker had scored a hat-trick. Looking every inch the £11m striker with Champions League goals on his CV.
Kilmarnock did have a few early chances to equalise but lacked the edge of their visitors.
When the third goal went in some Killie fans headed for the exits.

Two minutes into the second half Nygren put Celtic 4-0 in front after being ifted a pass from home ‘keeper Max Styrjek.
McCann looked broken as he looked on from the side-lines. For comfort he had the Brains Trust that is Kirk Broadfoot.
With a 4-0 lead Celtic eased back. A goal from Michael Schjønning-Larsen in the 56th minute provided no consolation for the home fans still watching.
Substitute Luke McGowan restored Celtic’s four goal lead in the 75th minute.
The remainder of the match was a procession towards the Kilmarnock goal but there was no further scoring.
As he looks at the SPFL Premiership table McCann will see Celtic on top with full points. And Kilmarnock bottom with nine goals lost in two matches.
Next up for Killie is a League Cup tie at home to Ayr United on Friday.

When you choose to go on a 5 week jolly up to the World Cup in America rather than concentrate on the team you’re the gaffer of
McCann thought xmas had come early…Hogh Hogh Hogh…..
