Celtic are planning to sign a ball-winning midfielder in the January transfer window!
That is the stunning news revealed by Celts Are Here, unquestioningly.
It seems that someone inside the club has realised that none of the ten signings brought in during the summer fulfilled that basic midfield requirement. Winning the ball, providing some strength and protection for the central defenders
Celtic have signed a £3.5m wonder boy from PSV Eindhoven that failed to make the 20 man squad at Ibrox yesterday.
They have signed an injured 18-year-old left back from Chelsea that has never played a minute of football.
Celtic took on the Feyenoord contract of someone who can cover either full-back position.
But, alas, they sold Arne Engels and failed in any attempt to bring in a player with a similar profile. In January Celtic turned down three bids from Nottingham Forest for Engels.
Transferring the Belgian midfielder was the biggest summer certainty after selling Daizen Maeda.
Now, seeking the launch of a deflection exercise Celtic have turned to a fan media site to offer jam tomorrow.
Honest to fucking god

CELTIC TRANSFER EXCLUSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Martin O’Neill admitted afterwards that Rangers looked “physically stronger” than Celtic, with the Hoops struggling to gain control in midfield for much of the afternoon.
However, CeltsAreHere understands Celtic’s desire to add a different profile in that area did not begin with the defeat at Ibrox.
The club attempted to bring in a ball-winning midfielder during the summer transfer window after identifying the position as an area they wanted to strengthen.
A potential move did not materialise after the financial demands surrounding the deal increased, with the player eventually moving elsewhere.
Celtic have therefore been left without the type of midfielder they had hoped to add before the window closed.
So no Plan B, C or D like any competently run club would have.
A club without a Director of Football.
A club that drooled over the Power Point presentations of Paul Tisdale rather than chasing away self-title Football Doctor.
Attention has now turned towards January.
WOW! Just like every other club in the world, hardly exclusive. When one transfer window closes you look towards the next one.
CeltsAreHere understands work is already taking place on possible options, with Celtic keen to add greater ball-winning ability and physical presence to the middle of the pitch.
A position that has been needed addressed for 3/4/5 years. Only Aaron Mooy for a few months filled that role.
The club are also determined not to rush into a signing simply because of what happened at Ibrox.
Oh, don’t we know it. It only took 18 months to replace Kyogo Furuhashi.
The priority will be finding a player who fits what Celtic require and can make a proper difference to the squad.
Surely that is the intention of every signing.
Were the five loan signings in January just signed to make it look like the club cared or needed players?
Six players were signed in the final 36 hours before the summer UEFA signing deadline. Were they also just signed to cover up the failings of the previous months?
This guy is looking ahead?, leaves everything to last minute and has cost the Club millions already… get him, McKay, Wilson and DD out. We need progressive Directors in. pic.twitter.com/3RMTUHZsk0

Understands how? How and where did you get this information? So you are in direct communications with someone at the club? Do they pay you to put this stuff out LOL. ”Hey Michael, put out this pathetic little exclusive to try simmer the fan outrage.” Kind regards, CelticFC??

This might be the most predictable post of today. Not necessarily by you but by someone willing to accept recruitment failure of the summer window and support the notion that the fans are thick with no clue

That’s an incredible spin when the window just closed ?

You make it sound like the club are being pro-active? They had all summer to sign one, and last January, and last summer! Anyone with a functioning set of eyes could see Celtic needed a player of that profile. Total negligence from all involved.

Heard it all before. Learn from our mistakes etc etc Utter nonsense! Engels replaced with a 2m quid 18 year old laddie who has barely played a senior game and can’t even get in the matchday squad.

Same as past 10 windows for looking for the next wanyama it’s all patter Celtic won’t buy and haven’t bought a new wanyama because the style of Celtics football does not suffice for a player to play in the captains position.
All the huff and puff pieces on repeat for years.

Aye RIGHT!
It’s always jam tomorrow with these frauds.
Fool me once etc…….
Nothing has changed in recent years, and especially in the last 12 months.
DD and the Board are the root cause of the club’s problems,
both on and off the pitch.
The club is simply incapable of achieving anywhere near it’s full potential,
whilst these charlatans remain.
T’will be the same old same old as per always with them…
Close the stable door when the horse has bolted…
Sign him when Sevco will be six points ahead !
