12th August 2026; Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow, Scotland; UEFA Europa League Qualifier Football, Rangers versus Jagiellonia Bialystok; Rangers manager Derek McInnes
The real Derek McInnes was on show last night as he watched his side draw 2-2 with Hearts at Tynecastle.
The match ebbed and flowed under the pathetic refereeing of Don Robertson.
Seven bookings were dished out with Manny Fernandez again escaping a sending off from the generosity of Willie Collum’s favourite officials.
After taking the lead McInnes’ side were staring at defeat with five minutes left to play. They found an equaliser but that didn’t do much for the mood of their manager.
There was a more than tetchy exchange with Wouter Vrancken at the final whistle.
Del probably thought that he was being the wide boy as he held tightly onto the Belgian’s hand.
Vrancken wasn’t going to play the game, he held on also. Wee McInnes didn’t like that, in front of a hostile stand at Tynecastle suspicious over the timings of his move to Ibrox.
Typically McInnes had the last say in the issue.
Behind Vrancken’s back he placed a playful slap on the lower back of the Hearts manager before racing down the tunnel.
@ScotlandSky McInnes rattled by a proper coach, get it up him the shitebag rat

THE REAL MCINNES IS NEVER FAR FROM SURFACING
Ahead of the match McInnes was playing the usual victim card. Going on about the injustices of last season without being asked to detail anything by the messengers present.
Alongside that there was the drooling coverage and comparisons to Walter Smith.
Both are died-in-the-wool bears with short fuses that can’t cope with whenever adversity comes their way.
Smith was involved in some epic touchline confrontations ranging from Alex Totten to Mixu Paatelainen.
Never he fooled by the dignified, statesman like Sir Walter portrayed by the messengers.
McInnes does have a one match suspended touchline ban. It is unlikely that the SFA will take any action on last night’s touchline confrontation.
The two clubs will meet again at Ibrox on December 20 and could be facing each other the previous weekend in the League Cup Final.
