1st November 2026; Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk, Scotland; Scottish Premiership Football, Falkirk versus Celtic;
Michael Nicholson and Brian Wilson both opted out of attending Celtic’s defeat at Falkirk today.
With the Chief Executive Officer and ‘interim’ Chairman absent it left Chris McKay as the senior board member at the Falkirk Stadium.
Normally Nicholson, McKay and Wilson are pictured together like a misfiring midfield combination at Celtic away matches.
From the SNS images at Falkirk today there was no sign of Nicholson or Wilson.
With an international break coming after next Sunday’s match against Kilmarnock holiday arrangements should be built around those dates and the free weekend of November 14 and 15.
Non-executive Sharon Brown was pictured sitting with McKay with Chris Trainer, owner of 10,98% of Celtic shares also in attendance.
Serial hangers-on Tony Hamilton and Kevin McQuillan were as ever present as they enjoyed the prawn sandwiches.
THE HUGE DIVIDE DEVELOPING INSIDE CELTIC
Nicholson and McKay do have an AGM to plan for with the timeline narrowing down.
Shareholders require three weeks notice with the meeting to be held before December 30, six months on from the end of the Accounting Period.
Last year Celtic announced on October 28 that the AGM would be held on November 21.
Chaired by Peter Lawwell the AGM quickly descended into chaos as the board engineered a way to avoid Nicholson being questioned.
Less than a month after the AGM it was announced that Lawwell was leaving the Celtic board.
It has been suggested that the club will look to hold a virtual AGM but as ever there has been no comment from within the club.
At the start of this century the AGM was held in the South Stand and Jock Stein Stand.
As the attendance at the AGM fell it was held indoors, over the last decade it has been held in the Kerrydale Suite with overflow rooms available.
November 23 is the earliest date that the AGM can be held, a December date is looking more likely.
Should Celtic sack Martin O'Neill and his coaching staff?
NO- Keep the faith, trust the process
YES- The club is clueless at every level

It is fitting that the Real McKay was on his own – it is his unique policy of ‘cost-cutting’ (whilst at the same time sp#@king money on Tounetki, Balikwisha and an endless number of loans?!) that has helped cripple the ambition of the club. Waste of a salary and suit
Now that MON seems to have lost the supporters (?)
he’s no longer a useful shield for the Board.
Nicholson will probably bottle it, and have a controllable, virtual AGM online.
…and nothing will change for yet another year? 🙁
