Craig Brown and John Boyle charged by the SFA

|

Craig Brown Aberdeen newsCraig Brown and Motherwell owner John Boyle have been charged by the SFA for their bust up at the end of Saturday’s match at Fir Park.

Boyle was seen saying something to Brown which prompted the former Scotland manager to chase after the Motherwell chairman.

Strathclyde Police are reported to be looking into the incident with the SFA handing out touchlne bans to Neil Lennon and Ally McCoist for a similar incident during a Celtic-Rangers match.

Boyle and Brown will be charged under Article 82.3 which states that the Disciplinary Committee are ‘be entitled to deal with acts of misconduct of any official of a club, club or recognised football body occurring before, during or after such matches, as aforesaid, and to take such action, including the imposition of any penalty as it considers may be merited against such official, club or recognised football body irrespective of whether or not a penalty has been imposed as a result of action by the match official’.

It’s little wonder that Chief Executive Stewart Regan has ordered an urgent review of the SFA Rule Book!

Chick Young and James Traynor go head-to-head.

Brown’s neither Irish or a Tim. He’s an ex-SFA employee…listen hard for the sound of sweeping as this one disappears under the carpet very quickly. No summits, no Police threats, no First Minister lifting his nose out the trough long enough to poke it into footballing business…nada.
