Ki Sung Yeung Celtic news

Ki Sung Yeung’s storming start to the season was again the subject of praise from the growing number of Celtic fans on twitter.

Three stunning goals in his last four games have established the Korean star as Neil Lennon’s first choice central midfielder.

Yesterday’s stunning strike from Kris Commons’ pass left Dundee United keeper Dusan Pernis grasping at thin air with the Cheer for the goal heard loud and clear across Celtic cyberspace.

Over in the far east, further east than Baillieston or Leith chiefinkorea was looking forward to some company for the Ki Sung-Yeung show tweeting:’On bus heading to Seoul for my first Seoul CSC meet-up this season. Nerves kicking in, few injuries n that. #monthehoops’.

Adding afterwards: ‘I’m delighted Ki is proving his worth. Played in right position for a year, he’ll score goals n ultimately earn us lots of money.

‘Honestly think Ki can run it for us this season – decent shot n great engine if allowed to roam – remember goal v St Johnstone in 93rd min?

TheHumanTorpedo was in agreement noting: ‘I think @kirrard16 could become our best midfielder since The Maestro.’

Over in Denmark CopenhagenCelt tweeted: ‘ That’s what I call a entertainment football match, midfield outstanding today. All of ’em.’

Enjoying a return visit from exile in Yorkshire FiKennedyCSC was impressed before the match had started, tweeting: Pitch looked like velvet at KO, new jumbotrons & a new sprinkler system too. All we need is a goalie & we’re set #Celtic.’

Adding later: ‘Had a bloody great day. Hopefully get enough bodies for Sunday, that would be smashing. HH.’

Ki’s midfield partner joe16led had a double celebration, tweeting: ‘Great team performance today from the bhoys! Great to get on the score sheet.’

Followed by: ‘Well done to wales rugby for beating england!’ and: ‘So tired after 3 games in 6 days! Relax time. Looking forward to MOTD tonight.’

For out and out Celtic passion it’s hard to look beyond the tweets of ahmebertiee who followed the match in her new role as catering supremo of the Aviva Stadium- I just hope she’s not serving during a Celtic match.

Amongst yesterday’s classics were: ‘I’m in the mood for some Derry Pele’ after Paddy appeared magic.. #PMFA.

Gary Hooper’s injury did put a temporary dampener on things with ‘How unlucky can we be?! I hope he’s okay before next Thursday.. ahh!’ followed by ‘ Scott Brown is having a great game. #MOTM’ and summing up with: ‘ I know I said Zaluska had a good game, but MOTM? Bit strange. And praying Hooper’s injury isn’t bad, can’t afford to lose him too. #Celtic #BringonSion.’

Dundee United did take a hammering in no mean city withCelticNews67 noting: ‘Peter Houston was correct, Glasgow is lethal to his players. He should have protected them better.’

Looking at events earlier in the day TheHumanTorpedo pointed out:After that performance from Norris at least we now know who the “supporters representatives” summoned by Rangers last week were.’

Ha Ha, I need to be careful, most of my tweets go out after I’ve had a few refreshments.

Ki’s goal made the main news tonight. Good to see “the brand” out there.

Ki just keeps on getting better, his composure on the ball is instrumental in us controlling games for long spells.

We were without 2 of our most influential players yesterday (possibly even our 2 best players) in Kayal and Izzy and that makes our performance all the more impressive.

Hope Hooper is ok, i fear that up front is the only position in the team we can’t afford any injuries because Sammy and Murphy are too unreliable.

Stokes continues to show why he has matured as a person and a player and does far more than just score goals.

Great performance from the Bhoys, long may it continue!

Ki is without doubt a class act. He seems to stroll through most games. When you consider he was not Lennon’s first choice at the start of last season and lined up behind, Brown, Ledley, Juarez and Kayal for slot in the midfield 2 he is now got be pushing to be a permanent place in the team. Its just a pity we have 4 players on their game for 2 positions really, although I know Brown can and does at times play wide right.
