Former youth team defender Stephen O’Donnell has signed for Partick Thistle.
O’Donnell was one of the star men in last season’s double winning squad and made a big impression in the SFA Youth Cup Final win over Rangers at Hampden.
After spells training at Dunfermline, Hibs and St Mirren Thistle boss Jackie McNamara was delighted to bring ‘Sods’ to Firhill.
The Thistle boss told the club website: “Stephen has been training with us for a few weeks and we liked what we saw.
“Although mainly a right back he can play in a number of positions and is very comfortable on the ball. He should prove to be another good addition to the squad.”
O’Donnell’s former youth team skipper Matty Hughes will make his debut for Fleetwood Town tonight in the Conference derby against Barrow.
