referee Celtic newsCrawford Allan will referee Saturday’s match between St Mirren and Celtic.

It’s the first time that the 44-year-old has been appointed for a Celtic match although he was in charge for St Mirren’s 1-1 draw with Rangers at Ibrox in October.

Iain Brines will referee the Rangers v Aberdeen match with Tom Murphy one of his assistants at Ibrox.

The latest batch of appointments sees Charlie Richmond take charge of the Ayr Utd v Hamilton match continuing his absence from SPL fixtures following the Motherwell v Celtic match on November 6.

Andrew Dallas will take charge of Annan Athletic’s match at home to Queens Park on Saturday.

    Celts have the chance to go 5 clear due to the rare fixture of playing before the Germs. Sounds like the SFA have appointed a Tim ref to help us through the week end lol NOT!!! HH 1NL YNWA 😀

    Having worked with crawf at Rbs I know him well and I know he’s in the masons and sometimes he’s a hearts fan sometimes an Aberdeen fan – expect a hard game and he’s good friends with Dougie Dougie also
