Craig Whyte Rangers news

Rangers are locked in a dramatic battle with HMRC over who can appoint an administrator to manage the financially stricken club.

The dramatic development in Edinburgh today puts the future of the club in grave doubt with HMRC moving to protect their debts after the club applied to appoint their own administrator yesterday.

HMRC are believed to have made their move to protect unpaid tax and National Insurance contributions for the current year after Rangers went to court yesterday to appoint their own administrator.

Yesterday Craig Whyte presented a bullish statement to accompany the application claiming that the club would emerge leaner and stronger from administration.

Today’s move by HMRC would shift the goal posts and end Whyte’s hopes of managing the administration to suit his own requirements.

The administrator is likely to make savage cuts to the clubs running costs with the expensive contract extensions given to Steven Davis, Allan McGregor and Steven Whittaker last summer likely to be binned.

Injured stars such as Steven Naismith and Kyle Lafferty will also be concerned with the club not able to get any instant return from their services.

Any club in administration is instantly docked 10 points sending Ally McCoist’s side 14 points behind league leaders Celtic.

A ruling on who can appoint the administrator is expected at 3.30pm today.

You really can’t help but feel that the Crown organizations like rangers will be protected though, can you?
While all of you pay your taxes and insurance contributions, the corrupt rangers who just signed a player to a 7500 quid a week contract only last week, continue to thumb their noses at the people who live from paycheque to paycheque. Guys who can’t afford a pint when they want it, still have to pay taxes while their beloved rangers shaft them in the rear!

What a great day for Scottish football.

How can ‘they’ save money? well atleast they wont have to change the seats with 54 on them for a long time, unless they have to put 0 on them.

I am watching this being reported on various news channels and am amazed by the lack of research completed by so called journalists.

Sky news is pathetic. No one is mentioning the years this horrible mob have cheated tax-payers, the government, the crown they love so much and the other clubs in Scottish football. Strip them of their ill-gotten gains and put them out of their misery.

March 25th cannot come fast enough. A huge party at the bigot-dome for hopefully the last time.

No party there if they can’t pay the cops, is there? Make one thing a certainty in your mind. The huns fans will be ouit to cause trouble. After all, what do they have to lose? get kicked out of Europe? Nah, they can’t get in.

Fine them? Nah, they can’t pay a fine.

Deduct points? Nah, they don’t have any.

Suspend them from the cups? Nah, they got kicked out of those already.

Throw the rule book at them? Nah, they don’t obey them anyway.

You see Bhoys and Ghirls, they hold all the aces. We have nothing to threaten them with!
