Peter Lawwell Celtic newsCeltic have received their full allocation of tickets for the game with Rangers on March 25 and will deal with them in the usual manner.

With the Ibrox club in administration and owing ticket money to three SPL clubs as well as transfer fees to a number of other clubs the issue of the tickets for Ibrox on March 25 was the subject of some speculation.

In December Celtic demanded an up front payment for tickets for the December 28 clash between the two clubs which caused some concern for Craig Whyte.

No new arrangements were made for the distribution and payment of tickets with Celtic happy to deal directly with Duff and Phelps who are the administrators running Rangers.

Responding to claims made in the Daily Record Celtic chief Peter Lawwell said: “There is no ‘bust up, indeed we are pleased that yesterday we received our allocation of tickets for the match from the Administrators of Rangers Football Club.

“We will sell these in the normal manner and will abide by the rules of the Scottish Premier League.

“While we have no desire to become involved in the business of any other football club, we felt it very important that we set the record straight and in doing so protect the reputation of Celtic Football Club.”

SPL rules state that clubs must pay for ticket money within seven days of the fixture being played.

i totally agree’ those magots; should never be near our sacred ground ;to infest thier canceruis bile and cheap inuenduos on us decent folk the impotence of thier bilge holds no end hh

  • Good to see Mr. Lawwell speak out but he should have been more direct and even specific in his condemnation of t d rag. As seany67 says, these people have sullied our good name with lies and innuendoes. They have practically defecated on our club (1994 hearse etc).

No, not practically, they have defecated and it is time our board stood up and condemned them unreservedly as we do on these sites. What would you do if it was your own home and family being abused, Mr. Lawwell? To us Parkhead is as precious in football terms as our own homes and the club as our family. Is it not time to put the gloves on, come out fighting and defend our incomparable international reputation for all that is good not just in football but in all the other extraordinary work in so many different fields?

Is it not time to demand separation from the other mob and to be treated as an independent entity? Why should we always be lumped with them as an excuse for their scandalous behaviour at all levels? The irony is, we end up taking the flack not just with them but more often for them (outcomes of the ‘shame game’ e.g.).

NO MORE, Mr. Lawwell. Tell them, NO MORE!

Celtic should give the money they get for the tickets to dunfermline and dundee utd, instead of paying rangers 🙂
