Neil Lennon news

Neil Lennon has been hit with a charge of misconduct following yesterday’s stormy Rangers v Celtic clash at Ibrox.

The hoops boss was forced to watch the second half of the match from the media centre after speaking to referee Calum Murray at the interval.

While Lennon insisted that he didn’t swear, raise his voice or point fingers the charge from the SFA Compliance Officer  covers ‘the adoption of aggressive behaviour towards a match official and the repeated use of offensive, abusing and insulting language.’

Anticipating the charge the Celtic boss has already disputed that version of events claiming that the incident was witnessed by members of the coaching staff as well as PR Officer Iain Jamieson.

The hoops boss said: “I didn’t swear, I just put my point across and that was it. I came out of the dressing room after doing my speech at half time to the players and got called in and told that I’m not going out.

He (Murray) has deprived me of doing my job in the second half.

I wanted to see him after the game, I was told to wait 20 minutes then I can go and see him. After 20 minutes he said no ‘I don’t want to see you’. So I had to send some of my staff out.”

Lenny I just wished to feck you would stay out of the road, then the bassas cannot bother you. Ffs man learn, it is embarrassing for us the fans seeing our Manager who we love get ridiculed all the time! Cannot wait till we lift that title. Mon the Hoops!

    • I take it you thought at half time the ref was having a good game ? No didn’t think so and Lenny didn’t think so either so its not embarrassing to see the manager sticking up for the team he’s well within his rights to question the ref. hail hail

Somebody has to defend us. It was another shocking decision against us that we knew was coming a mile away. What that Lennon said should he have kept to himself? I am Neil Lennon!!!

Every time Rangers beat Celtic and dodgy referee decisions are the reason, the media is saturated with ex Scottish refs who tell us how the decisions were correct. Not once have they ever said the ref got it wrong, literally never. Why don’t they have these ex refs when Celtic win?

  • Gerry D says:

He said on radio yesterday ragers security advised him not to sit in stand. That position was ‘clarified’ today, embarrassing!

Full frontal assault is seldom the best way to resolve or fight any conflict.

Lennons bravery has been incredible, he must get dogs abuse day and daily.
