Green turns to the bible in latest King attack

Dave King Rangers newsCharlie Green has turned to the bible in his latest attack on Rangers director Dave King!

After a fortnight of lying low the Yorskshireman has come out with all guns blazing ahead of Thursday’s CVA vote.

King, who invested £20m in Rangers a decade ago, has urged creditors to reject the CVA and warned fans not to buy season-tickets and outlined his concerns that Green could be Craig Whyte II.

Speaking to The Sun Green hit back saying: “What I think is more important than whether he thinks I’m another Craig Whyte is where he makes a comment that he wants all of the creditors and shareholders to vote down the CVA.

“This from a person who purports to be a Rangers fan.

“If people actually listen to him and do what he’s recommending — which I can’t think for a second they would — then all the history and tradition that we’ve been desperately trying to preserve would be just swept down the drain.

“I was brought up in a mining village, we went to Sunday school and we were brought up reading the bible.

“It says in there ‘Whom is without sin cast the first stone’. Unlike Dave King, I’ve never had my passport withheld. I’ve not been investigated for millions and millions of pounds worth of issues with Revenue.”

Former Sheffield United chief Green added: “All I can say is that from day one I’ve met every fan group, I’ve answered questions honestly.

“Someone said to me yesterday ‘Mr Green, if you’ve got the money, why are you still looking for money?’.

“I said ‘Well two things, I’m a Yorkshireman, and that’s why God gave me big hands, so I could hold more money’.

“I also said ‘I’ve never been to any church where there hasn’t been a collection. Rangers is now my church and I’m collecting money’. I don’t want people to love me, apart from my children.

“I’m here to do a job. And that job is is to get rid of the debt, get rid of the administrators, get rid of the fear and the problems that have surrounded the club for years, get rid of the problems with the SFA and support Ally McCoist.

“Fans are understandably nervous about someone coming in, because of what’s happened with their club but me and Craig Whyte are a million miles apart.

“What I’ve come here to do is revive Rangers. We’ve also said we’re going to go out and raise up to a further £30m. And that will all be done by the end of July.

“I’m completely confident. One thing I do know a lot about is raising money. Over the last 15 to 20 years in business I have raised a billion in cash.”

Green’s claim that he’ll be able to put £30m into Rangers bank account by the end of July is certain to alarm the creditors who’ll be offered £8.5m less the administration costs of Duff and Phelps four months at Ibrox.

HMRC, with more than 25% of the total debt, have already indicated that they will reject the CVA and have appointed their own liquidators to prevent a quick asset sale to a newco set up by Green.

No wonder he doesn’t like King, it takes one to know one and they can both see clearly they are conmen….With Doug Ellis involed a real rogues gallery…fit & proper don’t make me laugh. But why should we worry, carry on into oblivion and beyond ya muppets….I’m loving it.

God didn’t give you big hands to put over your ears and your eyes and your mouth when it comes to making your so-called beloved team into a respectable sporting institution.

You are willingly deaf to your own supporters on clarity of financial dealings; who are your backers? How much money will you personally be investing? If your good at raising money how come your trying to shaft the taxpayers again by offering peanuts?

Why don’t you make even the slightest attempt to pay your debts? Why do you want to just get rid of problems with debt and the SFA instead of trying to solve them? You are willingly blind to the toxic history of Cheats F.C.

Willingly blind to the needs of the creditors and the honest hard working tax payers of Scotland to get a just financial return from RFC*’s days of cheating.

Willingly blind to the fact that your so-called beloved club is a total embarrassment all over the world for a multitude of reasons.

Willingly mute to giving honest answers about your own interests in this toxic waste dump of an excuse for a football club.

Willingly mute towards the concerns of other SPL clubs who are owed money…vital money that is needed to keep their honest books balanced while you run around playing everyone around you for chumps.

Mr Green take your big hands and and start writing some big cheques to pay off some of your big toxic debts and stop spouting big nonsense.

Not even the RFC* sycophants are impressed any longer and its why your micky mouse CVA is doomed. I suggest that you practice doing some walking away with your big feet before its time to run.

green quotes biblical passages to suit himself.IF he is such a God fearing man then why does he not do the honest, decent, thing and pay the creditors what they are owed.Yes,even the face-painter who is owed £40. To me he sounds like an american politician, bringing God into it to win votes and support.

  • im a billionaire! hail hail but better than that im a celtic legend.

  • Mrhappy says:

How can he say he’s going to give rfc* £30m after offering creditors a fraction of what they are owed?

HMRC will be looking at that kind of statement with a sense of shock and awe at the audacity of the man!

Also I’m sure hearts and all the other clubs owed money will be wanting there full payments

  • Mrhappy says:

Just seen this quote from Charlie boy in the the DR “The decision taken will determine what model we have to choose and the speed at which Rangers can hope to recover. Fans should be urging their politicians to apply some pressure so that the CVA is accepted.”
now correct me if I’m wrong but don’t FIFA frown upon political figures trying to becom involved in footballing matters? Aren’t FIFA already unhappy with RFC*? seems to me like rfc are indeed trying to get someone else to pull the trigger so they have someone else to blame for them being in the lower echelons of Scottish football whilst retaining supporters with this ‘the sfa/ HMRC/ FIFA/bbc/ Martians on the moon are all taigs patter!

  • JGG says:

If he can raise £30 Million why not do what god would want him to do and pay the debt?

Does this man have any shred of moral fibre? He wants to pay people a maximum of 8 pence and more than likely nothing because Collyer Bristow will win their case and take the creditor pot down to virtually nothing.

It’s a truly despicible football club from top to bottom, shame on the huns.
