Dave King Rangers newsThe hostility between Dave King and Charlie Green is set to come to a head this week.

Green plans to take ownership of Rangers through a CVA or newco on Thursday but King has vowed to fight him through the courts.

The coming week promises to be one of the most dramatic yet in the long running Ibrox saga with the CVA being voted on.

HMRC seem certain to block Green’s proposals with the former Sheffield United chief ready to switch to plan B with the formation of a newco in a £5.5m asset sale.

King put £20m into Rangers a decade ago and is ready to go to court to block Green’s plans and claims that he has evidence of a deal with Craig Whyte giving him first refusal on his Rangers shareholding.

In a statement to Duff and Phelps King claimed: “You have been aware for some time that I have the first right of refusal on Craig Whyte’s shares and that I will legally contest any transfer to Mr Green, if such a transfer is attempted,” King has told the club’s administrators Duff & Phelps.

“Mr (Andrew) Ellis has confirmed to me by email that Mr Whyte advised him, during negotiations with Mr Ellis, of his agreement with me. The agreement is therefore not contentious and I have no doubt will be upheld before a Scottish Court.”

Former Rangers director Paul Murray is also concerned about the way that Duff and Phelps are handling the club.

The Blue Knights leader told the BBC: “Why are we Rangers supporters allowing a guy with no Rangers affinity and who will not disclose any proper details of his bid to buy the club?

“The fact that he has been brought to the table by Duff & Phelps, who have a lot to answer for and have chosen not to so far, should make every Rangers fan very concerned.

“The whole process needs a full investigation. It stinks and everyone knows it.”

I 100% agree, if they have no money they should be having pre season here.
Maybe got Linfield to raise money so they can go on tour, that or getting those who got paid EBT’s back for another legends match (i could barely type legends when they are tax dodgers).

    Mr Green wouldn’t lie to the brain-washed, manky mob…he’s a straight-talking Yorkshireman, don’t you know? HH x

I’m sure when HMRC see people like Gattuso want to join the darkside they just add the big & small tax cases & ‘let them off’. Next time we give hundreds of millions of foreign aid to a disaster they’ll just take off the £75m (or whatever it’s up to now) & no one will notice.
Fed up hearing they’ve no money when assets are worth an estimated £100m (The old value & not Green’s under £5m valuation). Then they are talking about bringing players in!!!! It shows everyone just how ‘they’ think they are SPECIAL. There should be NO deals or special treatment from the SPL or SFA.

Are the ‘cream buns’ even remotely aware that after Thursday their manky wee toxic team will be no more?

One HUN-dred and forty years of cheating (some of it with football) history will be at an END. Then it will be the mother of all parties up and down the length of the country.

It will be a party that will put the qeens diamond jubbly into the shade. Get the buntin ready bhoys only four days to go…

How could the MMS even write this crap coming out of Green about signing players? Is there no shame in Scotland?
