John Brown has accused Charles Green of surrendering to Peter Lawwell after the Sevco chairman got his club to apologise to Scottish football.
Green is trying desperately to find seven clubs to throw Sevco an SPL lifeline with the Daily Record claiming that the Ibrox chief is ready to make a number of concessions in order to win tomorrow’s vote.
Brown is attempting to form a consortium to take over the club and was scathing in his reaction to reports of Green trying to cut a deal.
“Green has surrendered,” the former Rangers defender claimed. “I think Peter Lawwell had a dream about keeping Rangers in the SPL, but only if he could make sure they would never have any chance of winning the title, by giving them a points deduction for the next few seasons.
“That keeps the value of the SPL for Celtic and means they can maintain a big budget for players, so they can not only win the SPL, but also have a really good chance of getting into the Champions League groups for the next four years.
“That would bring Celtic in almost £100million and all the while Rangers would have to pay SPL wages while being banned from Europe for the next three years and also having no chance of winning the title.
“By also surrendering and agreeing to the SFA transfer embargo, Green will leave Rangers in with no players and Ally McCoist will actually face a fight to avoid relegation.”
Brown added: “Right now I am putting in place the best legal team we can get, so that, we can do this in a proper corporate way, with supporters knowing that when they put money in to buy themselves a share in Rangers, their cash is safe.
“My plan will put Rangers men in charge of Rangers. The type of people who will not surrender to Peter Lawwell and Celtic the way Green has surrendered to them.”
It’s been claimed that SFA chief Stewart Regan assured SFL clubs that Sevco won’t be allowed into the SPL.
With the SPL set to reject the application from Sevco the SFL will vote on July 12 to decide whether to offer Sevco a First Division place.

So Let me see. If we let them in the SPL, sevco will struggle and get relegated, and, in a few years, Celtic will earn £100m. It sounds almost worth it. But starting from the third division is the newcos rightful place.

Why on earth should sevco be admitted to any Scottish football division?
They are not the most senior team among the many who are more deserving of a position in Div 3, for example, and there is no way that it is within the rules of the various bodies to allow them the shortcut into any of the other divisions, as they do not comply with the rules as they stand at present.
Sorry, but I would rather see Whitehill Welfare in Div 3, or Spartans, Gala Fairydean, or any of a huge number of other clubs in the semi-pro leagues throughout the country.
IF Celtic reach the CL stages in the next 4 years to earn approx £ 100m…..they will do so by LEGITIMATE means….unlike the defunct Ibrox charlatans who STOLE money from the taxpayer to attain CL qualification and deprive honest clubs of their true achievements.

I think they should be punished, but kept in the SPL – I like the rivalry. Also, you know, it’s David Murray that should be strung up, not the club.
