Ki Sung Yeung scoresKi Sung-Yeung has denied that he’s on the brink of a move to Queens Park Rangers.

The Premiership side are the latest club to be linked to the Celtic midfielder who also has admirers in Spain and Russia.

Ki made 41 appearances for Celtic last season and has picked up over 50 full international caps for South Korea.

Mark Hughes’ side are expected to be amongst the highest spenders in the Premiership during the transfer window but the Celtic midfielder doesn’t expect to be switching to blue hoops.

“I heard that QPR will have a press conference on July 9 with Korean player but I won’t be there,” Ki admitted.

“I know that QPR showed interest in me but I don’t know what’s going on right now. Anyway, I’m not the player who will attend press conference, it’s 100%.

“I have not decided my future, now is time to focus on [the] Olympics. It’s uncomfortable to see many transfer news about me. I don’t even want to know the stories unless I receive an offer.

“Who would go to QPR? I’m curious. Maybe Lee Chung-Yong or Park Chu-Young?”

Ki hasn’t returned to Celtic for pre-season training and is working with his national side preparing for the Olympic Games.

South Korea have been drawn against Mexico, Switzerland and Gabon in Group B with the matches kicking off on July 25- a week before Celtic’s opening Champions League qualifier.

Neil Lennon is a big fan of the Korean but it’s believed that if an offer close to £10m came in Celtic would be prepared to sell the midfielder.

I know its not nice to sell on your good players, however my view is if we can continue bringing in these players and in the space of a year or 2 sell them on for massive profit then thats great business, especially in areas of great strenght, obviously there are exceptions like henrik, lubo, artur etc.

But for me if we sell one at 10 million buy another 6 then potentialy theres another 60 million in the bank, i know they wont all work out like that but the scouts and the youth coaches are playing a blinder as far as i can see
