David Murray Rangers newsCharles Green has forgiven David Murray for selling Rangers to Craig Whyte and opened talks with the former Ibrox owner.

During the summer Green promised to rename Murray Park as he started the process of bringing the fans onside.

In June the Sevco spokesman revealed: “We will be taking Rangers forward to better days and one idea I put forward today is my plan to rename Murray Park.

“Following discussions with the supporters, we will be asking season-ticket holders to vote on whether to rename Murray Park either the Moses McNeil Academy or the Davie Cooper Academy. We will be asking supporters to vote when they renew their season tickets.”

The result of that ballot has still to be announced with Green yesterday talking up the man that introduced EBT’s and Whyte to Ibrox.

Green said: “He (Murray) did sell the club to Craig Whyte and that’s history now. Sir David wouldn’t have been the first person that made a mistake with Mr Whyte but we all have to move on.

“Whilst there may be some fans who are unhappy with Sir David there were lots of fans who were unhappy with Charles Green and I would like to think we have forward on that as well.

“Sir David is really keen to help the club. I welcome that and I appreciate the time we spent together.

“He has some clear views in terms of EBTs and there is no-one knows better than Sir David about that and he is prepared to do whatever is required to set the record straight.

“From a tangible point of view one of the things we went to discuss was trying to acquire Edmiston House because that would be very important to my plans.

“I think we have agreed in principle a deal on that. So he has helped the club by coming to an acceptable deal on that and that is very much appreciated.

“We have some plans for the property and these will be unveiled in the future.”

“I am looking forward to seeing him and meeting with him again because he has a wealth of knowledge of Rangers Football Club. He was very important to this club over the last 20 years.”

I think they should put forward Alex Rae to defend the club following his superb performance on SSB yesterday. He was fully primed and ready to give the players view on EBT’s.

His reply that He did have an EBT, that Lawyers & Agents for football clubs in Scotland & England and companies all across Europe use EBTs was sound. Then asked if he had signed a dual contract, he couldn’t remember although he did clearly recall he was told everything was perfectly legal and above board.

He did NOT get any outside payments to his contract, he did however receive a LOAN via his EBT. When asked by Jim Delahunt did you get a letter stating this “loan” didn’t need to be paid back – YES….was it a tax free “loan” YES – BOOM ! Well clearly nothing dodgy about tax free / non-returnable “loans” at all, they are an everday occurence with any bank / Company, not surprised that Agents / Lawyers were happy with their cut LOL

He always came across as thick as mince, but clearly he is even more stupid which take ssome doing.

Alex Rae CSC – come on down ya muppet.

“A tax-free, non-returnable loan”. LOL. Sir Minty’s pornstar-lawyer-accountant must have come up with that one.

Apparently it was Gavin Rae….missed the start of the programme – I usually only listen to it for 10-15 mins at most.

With the amount of pure tosh that is uttered on the programme I’m surprised it is still running…more adverts than callers.

Ah, Sir David Murray. Another one of Britain’s honourable knights of the realm- just like Sir Jeffrey Archer and Sir Guy of Gisborne.

Sevco’s ibrokes, the home of the honest man.

Oof! I get so confused on this “history” topic, whose history are we talking about now Chuck? RFC history? Sevco history? Re-written history?

Bunch of crooks have had this scam planned for years. And they would have got away with it too if it wasn’t for those pesky internet bambots!

As for Greens latest rant, this man loves the sound of his own voice, he is turning into such a bore fest. At least when the other crazy SPL club owner Romanov comes out with his delusional outbursts it is at random intervals, that gives it a bit of entertainment value, this muppet Green is at it daily and it is getting so effing BORING!

Any truth in the rumour about the comps being given to old season ticket holders of the old rangers you know the one that is dead hoping that they start to support sevco and boost the crowds at the dump ? hail hail

  • mark says:

Heard a cracker today a guy said the huns going on about how much their crowds are compared to ours is like premark phoning harrods and telling them they’re busier lol hail hail

The smell that emanates from Ibrox is toxic and nauseating. Little men with gigantic ego’s slapping each other on the back to further delude the hordes of dead rangers / sevco franchise supporters. There is thick and deluded and there is thick and deluded. . .and the sevco supporters must be twenty two carrot stupid not to see through all this guff.
Sir tainted Murray, Charles Green and Ally McCoist . . . I wouldn’t trust any of them as far as I could spit.

Green learning off the master to spin a moonbeam he’s plans for Edminson house.

All paid for by Giro cheque.
    Thick as thieves I think.
