Craig Whyte Rangers

Sevco fans have condemned Dundee United supporters’ plans to  wear Craig Whyte masks to the Scottish Cup tie between the two clubs next month.

Despite a club sanctioned boycott of the match one official supporters group has complained to the Daily Record about the stunt being planned by a facebook group of United fans.

Whyte bought Rangers from David Murray in May 2011 for £1 and was cheered into Ibrox the day after taking over the club.

Within a year however things turned sour with the club put into administration followed by liquidation in June 2012.

As soon as the Scottish Cup draw was made there were calls from Ibrox supporters to boycott the fixture with Charles Green quickly making it club policy.

United have already sold more than 200 tickets directly to Sevco fans with the Whyte mask upsetting Ibrox fans chief John McMillan.

He told the Record: “I was anticipating the United supporters doing something but I didn’t think they would stoop to this.

It’s out of order and Dundee United as a club should do all they can to prevent their fans from carrying this threat through.

The majority of Rangers fans will not be at the game and observe the boycott but unfortunately I’m certain some of them will go to Tannadice so this is a recipe for trouble.

It’s inflammatory to wear these masks and it’s disgraceful to even be thinking about it.

This game is already raised tensions and I fear any move to mock our support could have serious consequences.”

Jabba and McCoist will demand to know the names of these Utd fans.
Sevco fans just like the dead clubs fans “everyone hates them but they don’t care” aye right

Well done to the 200 Sevco fans who have bought tickets. I hope DU fans, welcome them as football fans, and not some of the deluded disciples of Charlie’s. We all have the right to support our team of choice! ,and in a small way, they are ignoring Charlie’s propoganda……Having said that, I hope they are there for the football.

What a brilliant idea to wear a Craigy Bhoy Mask at the Sevco game. He was the man that the Sevco all applauded and cheered as he hoisted the League Fleg not so long ago. The man with er. . .wealth of the radar who bought the Dead Rangers for a pound and got ninety nine pence back in change.
Hope the game is on TV and we all laugh at the great masks while the sevco get humpt ten nil.
This new Sevco team are a feast of laughs every day of the week!

Seeing as the Huns are into their ‘records’, if/when Dundee its knock them out of the Scottish cup, will this be a record for a manager getting his team knocked out of tournaments in such a short tenure? I think it has to be! Crank the noise up Arabs & good luck Dundee Hibernian!

  • Stevie says:

What the Sevco Rangers international don’t understand is this won’t be the last time their abused, unless they can show some remorse humility apologise and deal with their death with dignity, or they’ll be forever reminded of their cheating ways.

  • HoudiniBhoy says:

The famine’s over and we can all go home whilst being up to their knees in blood and they get upset at some Craig Whyte masks? Stooping low is something Sevco fans should perhaps reassess and recatagorise according?

With all the blood and moaning you can see Mordor being renamed the Tampi-Brox… well, they wanted the name kept in it… just a thought!!

  • Mharkopolo says:

  • Bertie says:

In the headline, you could have stopped after the first three words and it still would apply to any story about Rangers fans.

  • Monti says:

Never has a new club in the basement of our game received so much coverage,I would like to take this opportunity, to ask fans of all clubs in Scotland to treat this new club with total contempt & continuously, laugh & point at these evil cunts when any of them appear at dawn (zombie inference), they are to be viewed merely as fun, comedy & ridicule. I thank every club who voted against newco, special mention to Clyde f.c. who said we don’t want them in any league, now that’s halls my friends.

  • Monti says:
