Green loses out in Sevco boardroom battle

|

Charles Green news

Malcolm Murray has won the battle of the Sevco boardroom and refused to step down as chairman.

The Daily Record broke the original story of a boardroom split with a carefully orchestrated campaign to blacken Murray’s character following on.

In the summer Murray was a highly respected and influential big-hitter in the city but over the past few days he has been portrayed in less complimentary terms with questions raised about his suitability despite a long career in the city of London.

It all looked inevitable that Murray would be ousted with likely replacements being touted but despite the pressure he refused to budge from his position of power.

With Murray refusing to walk away it now appears that peace has broken out in the boardroom of the Third Division newcomers who are expected to produce interim accounts in the next few weeks.

Whether these are audited or not will be what investors look for with Green telling fans in Australia that the club will be valued at £500,000,000 within five years.

Since coming to terms with his new job Green has been strong on soundbites but short on delivery with each Question & Answer session bringing forward new claims.

Despite the bluster there is still no sign of a stadium sponsor with no news emerging yet of who will be next season’s kit manufacturer or shirt sponsor.

Claims that the club are cash rich with no debt should also come under scrutiny in the accounts, Green has often insisted that they had cleared the football debts of the old club despite news from Rapid Vienna that they received part payment on the fee for Nikita Jelavic this week.

While Murray has stood his ground this week he’ll be more aware than anyone of the damage to his reputation should there be a repeat of last years administration and subsequent liquidation.

With little information available on who is behind Green’s consortium the club chairman will be keeping a close eye on share transactions and the steady fall in the share price since being listed last month.

I suspect that Murray had a powerful ally in Wattie Myth which keep the fans onside or the heat would really be turned up on Chico. Not good news for a clown that claims to OWN the club, assets, titles, players and everything related to them….tide turning already Chico !!

He will be long gone inside the next 12-15 months anyway. Clearly Murray has been keeping too close an eye on Chico’s dealings / spouting of utter drivel.

I think Charles Green is sadly misunderstood and is in reality a real asset to every true non-Rankers fan. I wish him well in his tireless effort in continuing to bring Sevco to its knees once again.

“Overthrow Murray or I walk” screamed Chicco. “Murray stays” , said his masters. “But, b-b-but boss, I’ve done all you ask Oh faceless One”, squirmed Chicco. “Do one more thing then weasel”, roared the faceless One. “Anything, anything to please you Oh faceless One, ” sooked the sleekit snake. “SHUT THE FECK UP! Bellowed the master.
