Steve Frail Celtic newsCeltic’s u-20 side return to domestic duties tonight when they face improving Dundee at Firhill following their sunshine break to Abu Dhabi.

Wins over Benfica, Dinamo Zagreb and Inter Milan will be put on the back burner as Celtic look for the three victories needed to clinch the championship.

Aberdeen and Dundee United collected full points while Celtic were away with United coming from behind yesterday to win 3-2 against Hearts at Tannadice.

“We want to win things for ourselves and not be relying on others in the championship,” coach Stevie Frail said.

“Dundee will give us a tough game, they’ve did well in their last few games so we need to make sure that we display all the confidence we gained from the Al Ain tournament.

“We’ve been back to the wind and rain since returning and everyone is looking forward to getting playing again.”

A year ago Paul George was coming to terms with a badly broken leg following the 3-0 win over Rangers at Murray Park.

The young Irishman scored an opportunist goal in the 3-0 win over Inter Milan last Saturday with Frail pleased by his progress coming back from injury.

“He’s still a bit short of where he wants to be but every day and in every training session he is getting close,” the coach added.

“We’re looking at him for the start of next season. We’ve spoken to him about getting the strength back into his legs after a horrendous injury.

“There’s a lot for him to overcome, he’s getting there, it won’t happen overnight but he’s been looking good this week in training.

“He came on for the second half against Inter, he looked sharp in a slightly different position and adapted well to it. It’s good to have him back and we’re looking forward to his contribution from now until the end of the season.”

Tonight’s match kick’s off at 7pm with free admission.
