Walkaway Ranger slams Green

|

Charles Green newsFormer Rangers striker Steven Naismith has slammed Charles Green and claimed that he was right to walk away.

Green went to the SFA to claim the registrations of Naismith and others after they refused to TUPE across to Sevco following the liquidation of Rangers.

Naismith was almost tearful when he staged a media conference to explain his decision to quit Ibrox. Following that announcement Ally McCoist and others criticised the midfielder for walking out while Lee McCulloch, Lee Wallace and Neil Alexander transferred their contracts.

I had a legal right to do what I did, and that right is a central feature of European employment law which protects the worker in situations like Mr Green engineered last year,” Naismith told The Sun.

“When Mr Green sent a lawyer’s letter telling me to TUPE over to Sevco, as Charles Green called it, I had never met him.

“To this day I have still never met him and I have no wish to do so. Mr Green appeared from nowhere and claimed Whyte had just accepted he had no other option than to let Green have his way.

“It seemed strange and unclear then and still does to today. This was the proposition we were offered to turn our football careers and futures over to.

“I had the option of choosing to be employed by a man and owners who I didn’t know and had little reason, if any, to trust.

“I made a decision that most people thinking matters through rationally would come to in the interests of their family and career.”

    How can a manager of the 2nd div,won the manager of the year ahead of Neil Lennon who easily won the Premier league and qualified for the last 16 of the Champions league which is a great achievement.

    • Mharkopolo says:

      the only way lennon would get it is if we won the league by about 30 points and won the treble, everyones goin to be a bit more harsh and overly expectant of celtic with no rangers unfortunately…credit to the guy who won it though, scottish football does need more recognition from areas other than celtic and old rangers

    Oh, I get it! It used to be all Craig Whyte’s fault, but now, it’s all Charles Green’s fault. Okay, sounds fair.

  • Sweeney Hughes says:

    and of course, never EVER the fault of dodgy dave ‘for every fiver’ Murray.

    it looks as if higdon is a good pro spending the nighthm hotel good pick ,manager of the year nl carried Scottish football kept them in euro last 16 nowonder world football laughs at the Scottish institution of football rulers when a 2nd div manager is better than spl managers I smell a bit of shit stirring ps is it not time the sfa removed the license yet lies were told admitted as mutch or another cover up

    To be honest, if NL didn’t win it the QoS manager deserved it for me. I love NL, but apart from qualifying for the CL, the games against Barca and the away game against Spartak they are the only good games and we were lucky in the Spartak game on Sammy getting into position in the last minute.

    Our league form has been poor, the team has looked fragile in so many games, nobody in the league fears us they all come out and have a go and at best we have a good half or so. I don’t think we’ve done enough to deserve it to be honest.

    We’re really missing Scott Brown in midfield, without him we fail to impose ourselves on any game and then we just end up chasing games and getting pulled all over the place.

    Hopefully next year we’ll be more organised and put on enough good displays to ensure that the Mangers award has only one place and that will then be on NL’s mantle piece :). HH.

    Scotland is bigoted and corrupt to the core

    We at Celtic need to brighten up on the old deplomacy thing at PC.
    Beg-ger all this rule book bs, we shoulr follow follow the challs, proven recipe for success, style of dealing with the laptop loyalista and the sfa;

    Call the sfa lying, cheating, thieving, drunkards and refer to colleagues, past and present as ‘pakis’ and ‘darkies’, and I use the full words used to emphisise just how foul they are.

    This it seems is ‘part of the very fabric of Scottish society’.

    To say ‘ye couldnae make it up’, especially in light of NFL seving three match touchline ban for using a word I’ve heard used at least three times on bbc radio 2 in the middle of the afternoon in the last two or three weeks, would only mask just how sinister this corruption is, and how deeply rooted.

    PC=CP. DOH!!!

    Freuden slip?

    A Scottish football 50 YEAR OLD rookie manager, with a SEVEN MILLION POUND a year team, alledgedly losing 12million a year, is being lauded within the Scottish MSM, having being PUMPED out of every competative cup competition imaginable at the first shout, by the lowest of European tems, when his club NEEDED him to at least win one round to allow his team of PROVEN cheats, liars, thieves and PROVEN anti social terrorists to survive one more month, if not week, is seemingly what we as Scots want to put forward as a national sporting icon.

    What is wrong with this picture?

    Hell mend us when they’ve got someone capable incharge.

  • Sweeney Hughes says:

    sorry, ‘if not weeks
    , after winning the lowest league in world football……

  • jackmac says:

    I read the original report on this article on the internet and they referred to him several times as ‘naisy’. I don’t recall any mentions of Broony, Lurch or any other jocular term in reference to Celtic players. Oh me and my paranoia. Gosh darn it those pesky MSM chappies really are cards aren’t they?
